SALES NOTES

A. 911

Next up from the Rebel camp is another superb release from Jamie Jones, an artist we’ve championed from the early stages of his career, with a special one-sided release ‘911’, already gaining support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.

911 is an instantly recognisable future classic - with its mischievous sample of an emergency call, bringing global curiosity as people try to deduce its origins. A hoax? A police officer? We’ll leave it to you to decide.

With a nod to 4Hero’s classic ‘Mr Kirk’s Nightmare’ it displays a similar sinister yet comic atmosphere culminating in a classic techno track that will be around for a long time to come. This is the signature Jamie Jones sound, rolling basslines and oozing sexiness through the groove. Another EP to cement his place on the map of electronic music and turn heads this summer.

Truly understanding his sound and how to differentiate himself from others, Jamie has leapt up the ladder in recent years; touring America; Japan and regularly playing the best clubs such as DC10 in Ibiza and Fabric in London. He is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album for Crosstown Rebels (out later this year) and the word back from the studio is HOT!!!

Welsh-born Jamie, is a special breed of artist, his sound continually grows more diverse as he continues always to take risks to develop his unique style. Many sides to his sound have been explored on labels such as Cocoon, Freak n’Chic, Get Physical and Pokerflat in the past couple of years, each building on his loyal and flourishing global following.

Jamie Jones is a true protégé and star in the making and we eagerly await his album; in the meantime we get deep and dark as we discover what exactly went on during THAT 911 call…
