The krankbrother label comes back out of the blocks this May, hot on the heels of their inaugural release (produced by krankbrother themselves), with a second offering, this time from young Welsh producer Jody Barr.  Having been producing and demo-ing material for the last couple of years, Barr has been picking up some fans of late, including George FitzGerald and B-Traits, and this release on krankbrother marks his debut single, and a bright future.

With its heavy kick and growling sub-bass dominating the release opener, “Room 108” smacks of ‘big-room’ in all the right places.  Barr works the basic elements to maximum effect, serving up a hefty peak time track that straddles the line of house and techno with ease.

Continuing at this pace, “Think About It” once more relies on the powerful drums for its impact, adding dramatic rising synths and sunrise strings to carve out a most hedonistic production, whilst the energy levels don’t let up for one minute as “Arizona Dream” fuses its dubby techno sounds with goose bump inflicting pianos and soft strings to memorable effect.
