Jonny White's, white hot No.19 Music imprint closes out the year with a one sided slab of vinyl featuring one of the its biggest tunes to date, 'Under the Sheets' by Maceo Plex... No.19 Music continues it's meteoric rise with a record that has been building momentum for most of 2010.

Whilst the imprint has been drawing fans by the thousands with killer singles from TannerRoss, Modern Amusement and No Regular Play plus the awesome Soul Clap compilation and samplers, there have been a number of secret tracks receiving the Art Department road test in preparation for their release. At the top of that pile is 'Under the Sheets' by Cuban American DJ/Producer Maceo Plex. This record has been at the peak of Art Department's worldwide DJ sets since it was delivered to Jonny White earlier in 2011. Asked about the record's importance White had this to say "This has been a bomb for the better part of this year in every club/festival on earth... from circoloco to the love box festival, for us, this has been the biggest tune of the summer... i've literally received hundreds of e-mails asking what it is and when it's out!" Maceo Plex, or Eric Estornel as he is known to his friends, has an interesting history as a producer, having first made a heavyweight name for himself releasing techno as Maetrik on labels such as Cocoon & Audiomatique he then took the bold move of starting afresh with his Maceo Plex moniker. Yet within a short space of time he has once again risen to the top of the pile with his own unique take on twisted underground house music.

Releases on the revered Crosstown Rebels label, a DJ schedule that sees him circling the globe and now a release on Jonny White's much hyped No.19 Music all show that Estornel is a producer that simply cannot be ignored. And so to 'Under the Sheets', a record that is to be released as an unadorned, one-sided slab of vinyl; no remixes, no dubs, no edits. One listen and you can understand why, for 'Under the Sheets' is a perfectly constructed and deliriously infectious track that requires nothing more than to be played from start to finish. The hypnotic loops, rich funk laden bass and old school drums fuse together perfectly to create a mesmerising late night groove that is then jacked up to anthemic status by the uplifting strings, soaring melodic hooks and enticing vocals.

No.19 Music continues to excel with every release and this latest offering from Maceo Plex reflects perfectly on what has been an incredible year for both label and artist. Enjoy!
