The man behind Church Records and half the force propelling Coastal Haze, Seb Wildblood, jumps over to Let's Play House for a laid back, suave four- tracker that'll smooth out that transition we're all going through as summer fades and the embers of autumn begin to burn brighter.
“Necessary Happiness,” the first track, a improvisatory, noodly deep house ambler, sets the pace and tone. From there, the British producer ups the tempo a bit and explores the darker contours of red light-lit basement caves and after- hours haunts with the EP's title track.
The flip is briefer: “Necessary Happiness (Mad Sax Mix)” is an embellished and brighter reprise of the A1, and “Pass the Pen” is a loose instrumental that has the bones of a break beat interlude built atop a jazzy hip-hop beat.
