Following their debut EP at the close of 2019, Alps 2 step up the tempo and volume in partnership with Harry No.
Sophomore release from Manchester’s newest electronic label Selby Soul. This split single features two superweight collaborations from the labels flagship collective Alps 2 and the relatively unknown producer Harry No. A-side “I Could Be Wrong” launches us into the near future with illusive 8-bit thrusts and pensive arpeggiated blips, while B-side (the rather specifically named “Madness At Toni’s Chip Shop In Wishaw”) teases with its wavy poolside breaks. On this EP Alps 2 and Harry No have managed to capture an oxymoronic sense of vigor and tranquility through their stimulating style of chopped and screwed 2-step, a sublime soundtrack to the liminal present.
