Miriam 003 comes in the form of a VA release from friends and family of the label. A diverse release featuring 5 original cuts from a range of talented up and coming producers and DJ’s.
First on the bill comes from Miriam co founder Benson Herbert with the track Suggestions. Ominous chords float above a rolling deep bass line as whispering Vox snippets roll in and out as the track progresses, delivering a thumpy stripped back groover.
Next up comes Scott G’s new alias, Caleski. Reality Check delivers another stripped back yet grooving record as a bumpy sub bass moves around the track under the rise and fall of haunting pads.
Charlie Banks comes into the VA with the thumping Tonkotsu, a driving track which has feels of old school 90’s tech house nostalgia. The track teases you with moments of uplifting chords only to throw you back to the rolling stripped back elements of the track.
After the success of his remix for Scott G’s Sex Wax track, Joren Edwards returns, but this time with his first original for Miriam in the form of Dome. An uplifting summary track which floats around with beautiful pads and evolving bubbly textures.
Finishing off the VA comes with a debut release from Son Of with Donat’s Colourful Cast. A lovely closer which again has hints of nostalgia to it. Extra terrestrial melodic bleeps and a strong underlying beat.
DJ support from Arapu, Gescu, Archie Hamilton, Enzo Siragusa and Rosko
