Back in February this year Seb Zito woke up his Seven Dials Records label, having given it a small hiatus. It returned with the release of Zito’s own UK GEE EP and Timmy P and MADVILLA’s Find A Way EP release swiftly followed, with both garnering a wealth of support from right across the scene.
The direction for his Seven Dials label is bridging the sounds of garage and house, which gives him the opportunity to release a personal side of his music taste which is different from his underground house and techno sound.
Having first discovered electronic music back in ‘94, and the influences of this can be heard on his 4th release on his Seven Dials label, which is titled ‘2020’. For this release he has teamed up with the excellent singer songwriter, Alex Mills.
Alex Mills’ is one of the UK’s most unique singers: an electronic music specialist who has fast become the go-to collaborator for many of the world’s foremost dance producers from across the genre spectrum from Basement Jaxx, Hot Since 82, Jonas Blue, Camelphat through to grime pioneer Wiley, Crazy Couzins and Wretch32 as well as trip hop legend Tricky.
Together they’ve created a refreshing and light feeling garage house vocal number that is ready to set the summer a light. With house beats, some classic garage productions fills, modern day feeling yet 90’s sounding synths, combining superbly with the slick vocal performance from Mills, makes this firmly one of the tracks you’re going to hear all year long.
