Label owner and avid music connoisseur Ben Balance steps up to join Archie
Hamilton’s Moss Co. family. Ben has a host of releases across his various different
label projects Yaji, Sukhumvit Records and NCSS as well as his popular
collaborative project ‘Ho Di Ri’ with fellow Mannheimer Fabe. This time he delivers
3 slick minimal / electro-esque rollers, that sit beautifully in the Moss. Co
collection.
‘No New Friends’ opens the release, boasting a growling bassline with some snappy
hats that sit beside catchy chord hooks and airy pads; one for the dance floor for
sure! ‘Two Bears’ follows in a similar vein with a groovy bassline and skippy
percussive elements throughout, with a real party feel. The EP closes with the
emotive ‘You Can Count On Me’ plenty of space and a catchy M1 hook that draws you
in to a thoughtful moment
