DESCRIPTION

Pfeiffer is pleased to add Benny Bridges to its roster for the label’s eighth release. Benny is a Los Angeles-based producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, who entered the scene as a founding member of Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage crew. This latest release comes duringa busy year for Benny, followingan impressive slew of recent releaseout on labels like Sweat It Out's Club Sweat, option4’s HotBoi Records, and Spinnin’ Records to name a few. With this 2-sided EP, Bennytakes us to Zambia, his father’s birthplace, whichfueled inspiration for the two tracks. The A-side title track ‘Zambia’ begins with jarring synth stabs that evoke the shock of the vast dark bush as the underlying tribal beat sets in and carries you through a track that arouses connections to the enigma of nature, survival, and twisted jungle. The B-side, “Wonder,” makes you do exactly that-sit back and look inward with this emotive journey that takes you through the lush synth atmospheres and an infectious groove. These tracks are serene, lustrous, and raw in all the right places, and will leave you wanting more. As you are listening, imagine yourself dancing at the DoLab at sunset as you are transported to an unexplored place that feels secretive yet known.
