UK producer Chapter & Verse joins South Of Saturn with a mammoth tech house three tracker called ‘Weaker’.
2020 has been a breakthrough year for Chapter & Verse, real name Barry Pearson, having dropped ‘Dreams’ on Mood Funk back in February: a single that skyrocketed into Beatport’s top 20. Since then the British producer has gone on to release on Big Beat / Atlantic, All Night Long Records, Freakin909 and Materialism. He now joins Lee Foss’s thriving label with a trio of his finest cuts.
From the word go, ‘Weaker’ is a rumbling bass-fuelled roller topped with passionate vocals: the incendiary track packs so much punch and is designed to send crowds into absolutely frenzy. Bouncier by comparison, ‘Heartbeat’ is a thudding number with a swinging rhythm complete with rattling snares and bubbling effects, before ‘Take Me’ concludes the package with a wriggling bassline, suspenseful builds and a soulful vox.
