To continue on from where I left with Unfinished Business Volume 1 - I wanted to include some real rarities on vinyl.
Tracking down masters and re-mastering would always be a challenge, but first up is Chez Damier’s ‘Bootleg With Love’ - a record that appeared mysteriously on the now defunct french label BPM...it then rose to legacy status after Derrick Carter sampled it for the now Classic ‘Where U At?’ - still a monster of a record.
I then wanted to include one the few tracks i picked up from the legendary label Tak – ‘Barbuda’ has been sat in my record box / CD wallet / USB stick for going 15 years - still a gem of a secret weapon and part of a whole series of unreleased killers from the label.
The DBow edit of Isolee ‘Beau Mot Plage’ I heard played by Mark Farina at Sonar this year & place went berserk - i tracked it down and is a fresh take on a classic and a reason to play it again.
Finally - a mix of a work in progress from a forthcoming single on Classic - I made this version to play out and slowly began to like it more and more....featuring the vocal talents of Sam from Gramme, who was featured on ‘Stop The Riot’ – my last single on Classic.
