Hot Creations artist David Berrie returns to Hottrax with a sublime house release entitled ‘MC Blasta’.
Since first cutting his teeth in New York City, DJ and producer David Berrie has gone on to play at the likes of Space Miami and DC10, while garnering the support of Carl Cox, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and Seth Troxler along the way. Following on from his massive ‘Revolution’ EP collab with Jamie Jones last year and previous releases on the likes of Cuttin’ Headz and Play It, Say It!, Berrie launches firmly into 2020 with another stellar solo release on one of London’s most iconic house labels.
‘MC Blasta’ opens with an infectious sub-bass motif, rattling percussion, subtle vocal work and flanger effects which add a layer of warmth to the bubbling rhythm. Next, ‘F Is For Freak’ then perfectly swings with an apt spoken word sample, swirling synths, tight hats and pumping bass.
