Having delivered a number of EPs for Glasgow label Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Fear-E brings his warehouse vibes to Street Tracks for a three track EP.
Title track, ‘Dust Yourself Off’ takes things back to the raw, as a lone bass riff and crunchy drums flourish with the addition of a tender vocal hook and deep pads, classic house tropes that will appeal to fans of the Kerri Chandler/Ron Trent school of dance. Equally stripped back, ‘O.K.S.E.’ pumps hard, as an unremitting stab cavorts a simple melody. Closing the EP, ‘Shake It’ comes firing out the blocks, as a bold, brassy riff gathers weight over a mean mechanical rhythm and infectious vocal lick.
