Harry Romero releases ‘Control’ with a Josh Wink Interpretation on his Bambossa imprint.
A humble house music legend, Romero cut his teeth during the heyday of New York’s vibrant scene and has continually proven to be one of the finest advocates of proper house music ever since. With his 2020 summer crossover collaboration with Wiess ‘Where Do We Go?’ on Island Records picking up countless UK radio plays on key stations such as Radio 1 & Kiss FM, this year has seen Harry also have a string of high profile remixes for Classic, Positiva, Poker Flat, Dopewax and Dirtybird as well as originals early in the year on Crosstown Rebels and Nothing Else Matters.
Harry Romero’s own infallible imprint ‘Bambossa’ releases another unmistakable big room classic with latest track ‘Control’. With a relentless drumbeat, Romero’s love of percussion and house drums shines through on this enigmatic, emotive dance floor smash. Philly spinner and legendary producer Josh Wink offers up an acid interpretation of ‘Control’, reimagining his definitive sound through a strong build of salty 707s and jacking acid that’s almost ethereal in its completion. This two-track EP featuring two of the most influential names in dance music production is a collection that speaks volumes about their reflecting respect for one another and the contrasting scenes that birthed their respective music careers.
