Street Tracks continues to shine a spotlight on the talented new electronic dance artists coming through, and on the fourth instalment of Imprint, a trio of exciting new producers have been assembled.
James Burton has already released certified bangers on label’s like Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label and Skream’s Of Unsound Mind, and delivers here an energetic peak time house cut; its cowbell driven percussion and brooding synth stabs hitting the sweet spots here!
ATMA hails from Australia, and is already the driving force behind Bangkok’s Kolour In The Park festival. A twisted synth lead line is dropped on top of ‘Boulder’s Gate’s’ steady tribal beat, waves of white noise and crashing FX adding to the dark and discordant, but nonetheless funky, atmosphere.
A lighter moment is offered up by Sona Vabos, whose soul, disco and pop influences run deep throughout ‘Brass Shrug’. The London based producer already comes with a solid pedigree, with releases for Norman Cook’s Southern Fried Records, and comes back off a hiatus to contribute this hot vocal track to Imprint Vol. 4.
