Back in August of this year, rising British talent, James Organ, released a compelling single on Street Tracks. Featuring vocals from The Angel, ‘Lost’ was a sleek and driving house production that wormed its way into the sets of many a discerning DJ. For this follow up remix refresher, our favourite thing to come out of Cornwall, aside from pasties, Lord Leopard, has been deployed to deliver two slammin’ versions which takes the direction on a whole new tangent.
With a pedigree that has delivered funky assed bombs for labels like Edible, Classic Music Company, Cajual, Music For Freaks and Street Tracks, the mighty Lord carves out a bouncy, broken beat shuffler of a remix, chopping the vox up into micro pitch bending hits as sub bass notes ricochet off the drums. And on his ‘4am Rub’, a straighter path is forged, but just as alluring, as a pumping dub mix is dispatched with style.
