Last years massive groundbreaking anthem ‘Summertime’ finally gets released again with some fantastic remixes, courtesy of Rob Mello, Jamie Jones & Robert James, and SIS.
To say ‘Summertime’ was the record of 2009 is an understatement. A deluge of hype dogged the release after being broken at WMC and it didn’t disappear, getting played to the masses by every form of DJ until well after the year was out and named one of DJ Mag’s top Miami tunes ever. It now finally get’s remixed for this Summer with some stupendous remixes.
First up is London’s legendary Rob Mello, delivery a driving dirty house fueled remix with heavy Prince overtones. The production is impeccable, the groove unstoppable….unbeatable! Next up and Jamie Jones and Hot Creations label hero Robert James, take you back and house the crowd! Full of ominous bass lines and sinister stabs, this will have you pulling shapes before you know it, amazing!! On the flip and the magnificent SIS delivers an off kilter, driving, dubby rollercoaster ride of a remix, drifting in and out of the hypnotic groove as the beats swell in perfect syncopation.
Jamie has recently launched his new label Hot Creations, and has had some amazing releases by Robert James, Lee Foss, Burnski, himself and as Hot Natured (along with Lee Foss). Jamie is due to release a another new track on Crosstown this Autumn, ‘Paradise’ with a Art Department Remix.. and it’s a corker!
