  • •• Tuesday Paranoia (Jamie Jones' Submerged House Mix)

Tuesday Paranoia pairs two prolific producers from across the channel creating an EP that infects the mind and soul.

Jennifer Cardini and Shonky are two of the most talented producers of the French electronic movement. Previously delivering one of the most popular remixes in the Crosstown Rebels back catalogue for Mlle Caro. Tuesday Paranoia delivers their second co-production EP and is solid proof of their skills.

The title track is an epic dancefloor production filled with warmth and subtlety, an emotive blend of beats and eerie drifting sirens. A nod to the after effects of the weekend the vocal soothes the mind and rouses the heart strings.

Come Down To Earth is just as atmospheric, full of underwater sonar bleeps and sparse dubby melodies. Favoured Rebel Jamie Jones flaunts his remix abilities on ‘Tuesday Paranoia’ for the ‘submerged house’ mix, gaining pace and adding his trademark groove. The EP package also comes complete with accapella, a deep, sexy example of Jennifer’s appeal and the digital release will see a dub version of the title track.

Jennifer Cardini has been a firm fixture on the Rebel Agency since day one. The French queen of techno is one of the spearhead figures of her scene. Her ‘Stay’ EP on Crosstown Rebels in 2005 helped propel her into the spotlight and she has since released on Kompakt and Mobilee and has productions on compilations on Cocoon and Resist. Personal and pioneering Jennifer sets the standard for all that follow.

Shonky takes a mathematical approach to music, finding passion in the formula of techno. Riding high from his debut artist album earlier this year this release shows his tepid side but still retains his brooding undertones. This summer takes his music to Europe, Japan and continues his conquest of the underground techno scene.

Crosstown Rebels are back with a new pioneering spirit and global appeal. This EP continues to unravel the threads of their new sound and cement their stance as a leader in the underground electronic community.
