Shocked by the essence of ‘macabre’, Swiss multi-instrumentalist and producer Jimi Jules refers to the first surviving animal sent into space in his latest EP “Ham The Monkey” presented by Innervisions for its 98th release. With a speed of 4,500 km/h, the four year old monkey “Ham” was the first living being fired into the atmosphere. A journey against his will. Jules reflects the feelings and sounds felt from being trapped and out of control, breaking away from the construct of control and entrapment in the label’s three track EP.
Combining the artists’ signature sound with the rich and authentic tones of his own original vocals and musical arrangements, #IV98 marks Innervisions continued commitment to spotlighting new ideas. Providing a filter and unique sample pack of sounds selected exclusively from the EP, the next generation of artists to experiment and develop their distinctive sounds within the premise of Jimi Jules’ music and beyond. Jimi Jules will also host a streamed masterclass in partnership with 343 Pro Sessions by Music Production Workshops. Giving insight into how he produces music and the tools he used to create #IV98, Jules will open the floor to discussion, input and experimentation. All sample sounds are royalty free enabling the community to explore new perspectives and make an income within the sounds and open boundaries of Innervisions.
