Kid Enigma and Ed Nine, two Chicago natives, collaborate on the ‘Provide’ single for Street Tracks, and turn in a couple of deluxe deep house groovers.
Both raised on a diet of NYC and Chicago house, Kid Enigma has gone on to release his productions on European labels such as Defected, Hot Creations and Robsoul Recordings, whilst Ed Nine’s tracks have found favour with US labels like King Street, Panhandle and Nite
Grooves. Lead track, ‘Provide’, contains many of the classic house music tropes that still make it the endearing genre it is; its vocal refrain is backed with a swinging drum pattern, filtered chord stabs and soaring strings for an uplifting foot shuffler. Jazz influences are revealed on ‘Floss’, with
breezy pads and shuffling beats escorting in a sumptuous bassline for a truly deep slice of house music.
