The young emerging London based talent, Kincaid, debuts his full length Futureboogie EP after appearing on our annual ‘Summer Riot’ compilation last year, and the ‘Provincial Disturbance’ EP comes with a remix from the LA based producer, Urulu.
Already with a handful of releases behind him for labels like Moscoman’s Disco Halal and Aeon, Kincaid dispenses three faultless tracks for discerning heads. ‘Provincial Disturbance’ doffs its cap to the sampling, mash-up electro style pioneered by the likes of Keith Le Blanc and Tackhead, blending in some cosmic synth work for good measure, whilst ‘Voices From The Year 3000’ is a slo-mo acidic workout with a dubwise leanings.
‘Entrance’ scales down on the usual electro tempo with another unhurried expedition into trippy samples and bubbling synth melodies, whilst the EP closer has Urulu remixing ‘Provincial Disturbance’, serving up a tranceadelic journey on his ‘Liquid Squid Mix’.
