Dublin electronic duo Lakker have been building to a sequel to their 2007 debut LP ‘Rudio’ for years, trickling out 12”s that expand on their intricate techno sound. This latest, their first for the mighty R&S, confirms them as bona fide neighbours to Aphex Twin, who has been known to break out their tracks in his eye-popping live sets. And the four tunes here pop good: crisp and murky electronics on the title track; wailing broken beat on ‘Mausoleum’; bonkers fuzzy techno on ‘Thermohaline’.
