Track ListingA. Skepta & Jammer - Mas Murder B. Jammer & J Kolo X Ossie - Touch Me
DescriptionSkepta and fellow BBK member Jammer launch house label Más Tiempo, with the pair collaborating for the debut EP ‘Mas Murder’ The release sees the Mercury Prize-winning MC, songwriter, and producer showcase his house sounds ahead of the label launch party at London’s KOKO on 30th April 2023. Skepta, the influential Mercury Prize-winning MC, producer, designer, director, and founding member of seminal British grime collective Boy Better Know, unveils his new label Más Tiempo on 28th April alongside instrumental LOTM founder and BBK mainstay Jammer, as the pair launch the house-centric project with their ‘Mas Murder’ EP. Featuring London talents J Kolo and Ossie (Club Bad/Madhouse), the debut EP showcases a first glimpse of the musical direction of the label, with the imprint set to provide a platform for producers to ‘expand their current portfolio range’ - with Skepta building on his iconic DC10 debut for Circoloco last summer, plus forthcoming appearances in Milan, Ibiza and more. “‘This generation rules the nation, with version’... that really resonated with us for the Más Tiempo journey. Musical Youth sampled on ‘Mas Murder’ was perfect to showcase the way we feel about giving people our spin on house production with instrumentals while paying homage to the ones that came before us.” - Jammer. Collaborating on the lead cut, Skepta and Jammer’s ‘Mas Murder’ is a low-slung, heady house cut shaped for bustling terraces and built for clubs, fusing crisp percussion, a snaking bassline and eerie melodies for a heads-down effort. Handing over to Jammer, who links up with J Kolo and Ossie, ‘Touch Me’ draws from UK house influences for a skippy, slinking production. Alongside the EP, Más Tiempo will also take over legendary London venue KOKO on 30th April, with the event being the first standalone show for the collective, having collaborated with The Martinez Brothers and Cuttin Headz at The Beams in December. Featuring performances from Benji B and DJ Maximum alongside sets from both label heads, the show will see Skepta return to the venue for the first time since 2016 following the release of his critically acclaimed LP ‘Konnichiwa’.

Track ListingA1. Autonomic Journeys B1. Pan Gloss B2. San Guine
DescriptionJosh Wink is someone who needs little introduction having created some of the biggest and most influential club tracks over the past 30 years including I’m Ready, Don’t Laugh, Superfreak, Talking To You, Meditation Will Manifest and Higher States Of Consciousness to name just a few out of his never ending catalog. He has recorded on some of the biggest labels of house and techno including, Nervous, Strictly Rhythm, R&S, Bedrock, Cocoon, Ellum Audio and PokerFlat. In 1994 he started Ovum Recordings which is still as strong as ever, and is heralded as a buy on sight imprint for lovers of deep house, techno and acid. Josh and Jimpster first became acquainted when Jamie was asked by Josh to remix a track from his 2009 LP When A Banana Was Just a Banana, and the favor was retuned when Josh remixed Jimpster’s Alsace and Lorraine in 2011. The pair haves tayed in touch since, cut to 2023 and we’re excited to present you with a full signature sounding Wink EP made with Freerange in mind, right in time for the summer. Autonomic Journeys leads the charge with a track which hits that sweet spot between pumping Detroit techno, deep house atmospherics and twisted acid. 909 drums, 303 squelch and 106 pads ensure Roland is well represented in the track and all underpinned by a fat rolling bassline. Pan Gloss gives us a chunky slice of bouncy percussive house which exudes a positive energy as it unfolds over 7 minutes. Fat stabs sit front and centre while chiming arpeggios and acid line dance around the beat making for a track which makes you move as much as get lost in. Closing out the release things go deeper on San Guine, with a snappy groove laying the foundation for lush sine stabs, filtering pads and a hooky cross-rhythm analogue synth line.

Track ListingA. Request B. Nervousinha
DescriptionJamie Jones and Lee Foss welcome Brazilian newcomer Cassi to Hot Creations as he unveils his two-track EP, ‘Request’. A new name quickly catching a lot of attention within the tech house world, Brazilian DJ/producer Cassiano Salbego, aka Cassi, only released his debut record via Amine Edge & DANCE’s CUFF Records in August of last year. However, the months since have seen the exciting South American drop a sprinkling of follow-ups and downloads to begin to showcase his sound and style, with a growing list of supporters added by the day. Next up, he gets set for his biggest release to date, making his debut appearance on James Jones and Lee Foss’ internationally renowned label Hot Creations with two new originals across ‘Request’. Opening with rolling drums, slinking bass groove and hooky warped vocals, arpeggiated lead synths soon take hold of ‘Request’ as the track builds into a cascading surge of energy, while ‘Nervousinha’ is a stripped back yet impactful cut that sees further vox snippers paired with trippy and resonant melodies.

Track ListingA. Relax Shiva B. Relax Shiva (DJ Gregory Remix)
DescriptionRed Axes return to Crosstown Rebels with their absorbing new single ‘Relax Shiva’, featuring a remix from DJ Gregory. An electronic duo at the forefront of house and techno, Tel-Aviv-based pairing Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, aka Red Axes, continue to advance and develop their own ever-evolving eccentric and idiosyncratic sound. Informed by new wave and post-punk through to electronic genres across the spectrum, their releases on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound, Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant and Life and Death, coupled with recent material on Higher Ground and Shall Not Fade, have welcomed a plethora of varying soundscapes. This versatility and range is something they explore once again as they return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels - following on from 2015’s ‘Sabor’ - with their latest single, ‘Relax Shiva’. An intensely hypnotic and entrancing effort that slowly wanders and creeps between sounds and spheres covering all hours of the night, the warping ‘Relax Shiva’ utilises resounding and deep organic percussion alongside a spiralling deeply rooted acid line at its core to guide the trance-inducing vocal calls across a near-eight-minute trip. Providing the remix on the package, Parisian house legend DJ Gregory, aka Point G, harnesses the vocals while introducing crisp, rolling drums and winding melodies, a sure-fire remix BOMB!

Track ListingA. Physical Change B. Pulse Of Progression
DescriptionFollowing the monumental success of NINETOZERO’s latest offering – Enrico Sangiuliano and Charlotte de Witte’s “Reflection” EP – the Emilia native’s conceptually driven record label announces the next instalment in its countdown of releases. The two-track ‘Physical Change’ EP will land on the time-limited imprint on May 5, ahead of Enrico’s correlative SOLO show at New York’s 99 Scott on May 13. Having previously explored the notion of silence, space and reflection through his NINETOZERO catalogue, Sangiuliano’s newest chapter analyses the concept of change, in all its forms. Tethered to the roots of NINETOZERO’s overruling theme of time, the forthcoming opus expresses the narrative of mutation and evolution within sound. Both obvious and imperceptible changes are inevitable, shaped by the uniqueness of the setting, the ear and the way in which it is emitted. Much like physical and chemical change, metamorphosis within sound is the only constant, despite our inability to recognise some of these microscopic variations. Enrico’s drive to create music with conceptual value stems from a resolute commitment to the progression of our beloved scene and, as such, has allowed him to journey the length and breadth of electronic music in the most freeing way. The two productions present as distinct techno cuts whilst possessing the melodic complexities we’ve come to know and love from Enrico’s unrivalled output. Unequivocally cool and wholly refined, the extended player is set to follow in the footsteps of NINETOZERO’s preceding chart-toppers. Expanding on the project with a string of accompanying all-night-long shows, Enrico also announces his next SOLO event at Scott 99 in New York on May 13, marking the series’ first Stateside edition since its inception last year.

Track ListingA1. All Ages A2. Afternoon at Bärenquell B1. Sanders Groove B2. Soft As Moonlight
DescriptionLower-case and higher-vibes, loket is the saxophonic alias of Tahl Klainman, a versatile presence in Berlin’s alternative and underground scene, whose diverse productions have traversed ambient, trance, techno and jazz on labels such as Mama Told Ya, Hot Concept and Tax Free Records. More recently loket also guested on Massimiliano Pagliara’s LP ‘See You In Paradise’, which received the 2023 German Record Critics’ Award, as well as establishing Klainman as one of the few saxophonists to have jammed live to a peak-time Panorama Bar dancefloor. Reigniting the languid futurism of trip-hop and downtempo, ‘All Ages’ ably delivers the most inclusive distillation of loket’s sound thus far, paying respect to the influences such as William Orbit and Moby, as well as fourth-world innovator Jon Hassell’s philosophy of blending traditional instrumentation with contemporary electronic experimentalism. Mixed in collaboration with Angus Finlayson, aka Minor Science, each of ‘All Ages’ four pieces transmit the wonder and free-spirited optimism reflected on photographer Jordan Kirk’s wide-eyed cover art. Title track ‘All Ages’ prizes open a saxophonic wormhole to beckon an infectiously baggy groove, unexpectedly referencing the optimistic rhythm of acid-house inflected Madchester, only with gnarlier guitars to contrast a seriously insistent bassline. ‘Afternoon at Bärenquell’ boldly teases out sonic pleasure from even more idiosyncratic means, melding baroque strings and twinkling new-age melodies to loket’s emotive brass, culminating in a neo-classical finale that seems to suspend itself mid-air. ‘Sanders Groove’ sees loket’s sax step back on a bed of soft, jazz-inflected percussion and unpredictable electronics, melting as one into a slow-motion riff that’s equal parts indie jam and musique concrete. Finally, ‘Soft as Moonlight’ makes good on its romantic namesake with a swelling arrangement that free floats into deft percussion, dreaming and teeming with positive energy.
