Rocksteady Disco's newest recruit is Eddie Logix. He's been at the heart of the Detroit underground for over 15 years, most recently with his Technically Yeah live hardware nights, a grip of ambient and hip-hop releases, engineering for Assemble Sound. He’s one half of left-field funk-hop duo Mega Powers with Pig Pen, and of BLKSHRK alongside Blair French, who first appeared on Rocksteady Disco back in 2016 on ...For Todd.

Placebo Palace is Eddie's first solo dance EP, combining all of this experience into a diverse offering for discerning dance floors. The EP leads with “Que Locos”, a tropical house banger driven by brass and Latin-Jazz piano. “Baby Girl” rounds out the A side, with a dusty R&B vocal sample coupled with a massive and unexpected bassline. The B side is darker and deeper, starting with the frantic Afro-Jazz-Deep House “Sunday Palaver”. Closing the EP is “Bottle Rocket”, a psychedelic surf rock-tinged disco-not-disco chugger, with live guitar by Daniel Monk and electric bass by stphn-b. More forward thinking music from Detroit via Rocksteady Disco!

Presenting a fully legit, remastered and repackaged reissue of this extremely sought after, cult 12" from the Addis Posse featuring unreleased and previously unheard music. Brand new style for 2020.

The Addis Posse was one of the main outfits on this cult label. Featured on this very special EP is the much sought after 'Pirate Acid Mix' of this original breakbeat masterpiece, which has been a huge festival winner with the likes of Peggy Gou, Palms Trax and Josey Rebelle amongst others this summer. Joined also by a previously unreleased, pulled from DAT tape Alternative Acid Version which has never ever seen or heard before - this is a real treat and one DJs will want to sweat! Across the EP’s 4 cuts are all the 'definitive' versions of this absolute dance floor bomb - WD fashion - right and correct! Essential business, right here!

London's Warriors Dance label was a unique operation and a pioneering London label during the late 80's acid house phenomena. Home to an assortment of DJs, MCs and soundmen, they went on to make their own original and indelible mark on the rave scene from the infamous 'Addis Ababa' studio on Harrow Road on the North-West side of the city. A former reggae and soul studio that was instrumental to the output of influential artists like Soul II Soul and more, a steady diet of reggae, bass, hip-hop, house and techno kept their edgy, and diehard UK sound and style right at the cutting edge of the dance music underground across the globe with the top DJs and producers of the day celebrating the label. The studio, helmed by label owner Tony ‘Addis’, acted as an incubator for artists whose names would go down in the history books.

The Addis Posse ‘Let The Warriors Dance’ EP is the pure unadulterated WD vibe, featuring original label artwork tweaked by Atelier Superplus and lovingly remastered by Curvepusher, UK.
Special thanks to Nicky Trax & Tony Addis. Proudly distributed by Above Board distribution. 2020.

    4. B2. Oliver Dollar featuring Matthew K & Daddy Hemingway - The Delta (Kelly G. Defected Dub)

In 2019 Oliver Dollar made his Classic Music Company debut with the incredible 14-track collection Another Day Another Dollar. The album was an adventurous artistic statement, showing off a wider breadth and depth of sound than ever before, and was received with critical acclaim. Now three of the stand out tracks from the album get the remix treatment from some of Classic’s nearest and dearest. Opening the A-Side, Classic founder Luke Solomon and the sparkling Honey Dijon come together to remix one of the stand out cuts, ‘John’s Church’. Originally produced in collaboration with German producer Nils Ohrmann, the pair intensify the steamy, gospel-tinged track, lacing in atmospheric keys and tension-building drops that take the dancefloor number to new dimensions. Up next, Snatch records founder Riva Starr drops his remix of ‘Crusader’, featuring Jason Hodges. Illustrating Riva’s signature dancefloor focused style, this transformative remix moves away from the stripped-back original, with a rolling bass and deep, swelling pads. On the flip is another storming ‘John’s Church’ remix, this time from production maestro Mousse T., who works his magic with his funk-drenched Disco Shizzle Remix, loaded with a pumping bassline and his signature charismatic style. Finally, Kelly G. delivers his Defected Dub of ‘The Delta’ to round off the release, taking the dreamy piano house of the vocal-led original and making it club friendly, with a bassline you can’t help but groove to.

The world-renowned Crosstown Rebels add the third instalment to their annual Spirits compilation, an album which has become established for delivering some of the biggest hits that have been heard in Damian Lazarus’ sets over the past year, from some of the most esteemed artists in electronic music. Let your mind become absorbed in this collection of diverse and exciting tracks.

The man himself Damian Lazarus opens the release, setting the tone with the haunting hypnosis of Ergot which contains snippets of an ancient Chilean revolution song, relevant to the current political climate. Next up Guti & Fosky collaborate once again in fine style to produce a smoky, late-night atmosphere, with the moody bassline and expertly crafted beat of Da Drumz. Side B and legendary producer Martin Buttrich combines driving tripped out rhythms with warm surging pads, creating a great musical tonic during Slow Down. Denney & James Dexter then deliver a peak time monster in the form of Transcend.

Next up Harry Romero adds a touch of romance on It’s You with an unravelling rhythm of heartfelt synth. Dennis Cruz’s Mother Earth follows up with striking vocals playing off one another with soaring brass and strings. More DJ ammunition is provided by Piem on Freak Out where a familiar looped sample is manipulated to ignite dance floor euphoria. Finally the bounce of Adonis Rivera’s XX Acid will have you hooked from the outset, as you would expect from the title, razor-sharp acid awakens every sense in this heady piece. Another great Spirits compilation to add to the esteemed series.

    1. A. Sweet Disposition (Camille Luciani Mix)
    2. B. Sweet Disposition (Camille Luciani Dub)

One of the most talked about remixes of 2019 gets an official release as Camille Luciani’s stunning rework of The Temper Trap’s 2008 global hit ’Sweet Disposition’ comes out on Renaissance Records / BMG on 13 December.

Camille Luciani, one of France’s brightest new dance talents, creates a stirring and highly atmospheric update of the Australian indie rock outfit’s seminal 2008 anthem, which has achieved cult status in recent years, featuring in the film ‘(500) Days of Summer’ and clocking over 260 million streams on Spotify alone.

“I’d been a fan of the band for more than 10 years”, explains Camille, “Their music was always there for me; one day I just decided to give them something in return and chose Sweet Disposition, which is a timeless track that I always wanted to bring my vision to. So, initially it was more for fun than an official release. It was only after sending it to Dougy and Lorenzo - the band themselves - that things began to develop. I’m delighted it’s now getting an official release.”

The remix takes the listener on an emotional journey, emphasising the brooding percussion alongside clever layering of the blissful vocal. The poignant piano refrain and swirling, intense beats result in a beautiful, yet powerful reinvention, perfect for peak-time dance-floors, which has already received many ID requests on social media. Major support has come from globally-renowned duo Tale Of Us who have played it as their closing track on many of the world’s biggest stages, including Printworks London, Gashouder Amsterdam and Ushuaïa Ibiza, each time receiving a euphoric, ‘hands in the air’ crowd reaction.

    1. A. Bottleneck
    2. B1. Hump
    3. B2. Actual Price

Andy Ash has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade.

The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist (the artwork for this re- lease is Andy’s own oil on canvas) has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others.

The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and we’re proud to welcome him to Delusions Of Grandeur with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP.

The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.

Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.

Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release!

    1. A. Plastic Dreams (Nicole Moudaber Renaissance Remix)
    2. B. Plastic Dreams (Nicole Moudaber Passion Runs Deep Remix)

Renowned record label and events brand Renaissance announce the next release in their acclaimed The ReMix Collection - a scintillating reworking of Jaydee’s 1992 R&S classic ‘Plastic Dreams’ from one of the leading names in techno: Producer, DJ & MOOD Records label boss Nicole Moudaber.

Nicole Moudaber’s spectacular and atmospheric remix of ‘Plastic Dreams’ is already receiving strong DJ support, not least from Carl Cox, who has been playing it out as a highlight of his recent sets.

A track that Nicole Moudaber had always wanted to remix, when approaching such an iconic track as ‘Plastic Dreams’, she applied her trademark tough yet melodic sound, emphasising the jazzy bass notes and famous organ synthesiser refrain, to deliver a fresh and vibrant reworking.

On her remix, Nicole Moudaber said: “I didn’t want to lose the essence of this ground-breaking track. I kept the balance between house and techno and added a little touch of jazz. I was in New York when I first heard it; I was dancing, I was flying, I was connecting with people, I was making memories. I believe I gave it justice, I certainly gave it a lot of space and respect of its original identity.”

‘Plastic Dreams’ will be available as a Limited-Edition vinyl, produced to go toward part of a highly collectable and beautifully packaged 6 release box-set (6th release dropping at Christmas).

The ReMix Collection celebrates Renaissance’s proud heritage which has seen the brand at the forefront of electronic music since its inception in 1992. The concept behind the collection is to put a fresh and exciting take on seminal tracks that are closely connected with Renaissance’s early years.

Italian artist Anfisa Letyago debuts on Rekids delivering two captivating cuts, including two brilliant remixes from Mark Broom.

For over a decade, this Neapolitan DJ and producer has been renowned for her hard-hitting techno tracks on labels like Redrum and Intec. She now debuts on Radio Slave’s Rekids, following the likes of Laurent Garnier, Spencer Parker, Hybrasil, P.Leone, and SRVD.

‘I’d Rather B’ starts with shaking percussions into soul styled vocals, fading out to deeper and darker tones, before ‘Pump It’ progresses into a smooth acidic background completed with a subtle groove undertone. Warp Records and Cocoon artist Mark Broom returns to Rekids with two remixes of ‘I’d Rather B’.
The first leads with a stomping bass and rupturing sirens, generating an atmospheric aesthetic from start to finish, whilst the second focuses more on the groove – introducing piercing claps, rattling hats and small bursts of vocals cries as the track continues to build.

    1. A. Spectrum (Special Request Kaleidoscopic Mix)
    2. B. Spectrum (Special Request Double Vision Mix)

Paul Woolford’s hardcore and rave-indebted Special Request project continues its industrious hot streak, delivering two sublime, peak-time reworks of Erol Alkan’s unstoppable ‘Spectrum’. Since itsrelease in late 2017, Alkan’s hit has been as ubiquitous as Woolford himself, gaining momentum as astaple in the sets of DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, Sven Vath and Mano Le Tough.

Beginning with the ‘Kaleidoscopic Mix’, SR strips back the high-energy reverie of Alkan’s original into something truly vast, building to an unmistakable and flawless acid bassline, from which emerge abrooding and dystopian network of melodies. Balancing tension and melancholy without ever losing grip of its enormous bass weight, the ‘Kaleidoscopic Mix’ delivers ten-minutes of compelling euphoria.

On the flip, the ‘Double Vision’ mix takes much of the same structure but places Spectrum’s original, glorious riff front-and-centre once more, as if stretching its fizzy, inherent energy out of a warehouse and towards the fields at sunrise.

Medicine used to be, we expected, good for us. Albeit with added sugar. Now medicine is a huge problem in itself, with vast companies caught mis-selling dangerous drugs. It’s one of the biggest scandals ever. How on earth did we get here? Who did this?

The Imbeciles are on the case.

“It’s about the dark side of prescription ‘medicines’. Oxy, Xanax, Ambien, all that. Big pharma is pushing these addictive ‘medicines’ that we don’t actually need, to desensitise / numb / kill. All for profit,” says Butch Dante.

A new classic from The Imbeciles. They know. And they made a video. Watch it here.

Now they’ve been remixed. By these people:

    C.A.R.:
Impossible to categorise, and all the better for it - London based, Franco-Canadian, C.A.R., flirts with elements of new wave, cold wave, synth-pop, post punk and off-kilter disco; and without doubt wields some of the most satisfyingly other-worldly melodies and synth lines around.

    Ryan James Ford:
One of the most exciting underground techno producers on the block - Ryan doesn’t constrain himself to any one rhythm, aesthetic and motif, but can always be found to be hitting the listener with thick atmosphere, dark melodies and an upfront, experimental attitude.

    Legowelt:
A true pioneer of left field house and disco, this Dutch master draws from disco, italo, dub, dancehall, techno and many more sonic pools to create his wonderfully engaging, but always envelope pushing sound.

When was the last time EDMX served you what you expected? Maybe you drop the needle down in anticipation of some slick boogie-inflected synth pop and get walloped in the face with hellfire techno. Perhaps you were itching for body-popping electro and got cerebrally hijacked by pagan coldwave.

On this latest magnum opus, his first on Queen Nanny. Ed Upton is in the mood to get down low in every sense of the word. On the frequency range, this is a record dripping with lard-fed bass at every turn. The arrangements too are devilishly low in channel count – raw riddims with just a few key ingredients to do the necessary damage. Then there are the tempos, which predominantly set cruise control at 90 BPM and glide.

It’s not hard to tell where EDMX’s inspiration has sparked from on this album – in the spirit of celebrating the compatability of oddball sonics from all corners of the globe, he’s patched his sound into a specific vibe and struck gold with some of the most distinctive riddims you’re likely to hear all year.

In 2015, Optimo’s Autonomous Africa label released Youth Stand Up!, a triangular recording project hatched at Glasgow’s Green Door Studio that brought together young musicians from Belize, Ghana and Glasgow for ten tracks of cross-cultural collaboration. The result was an infectious cocktail of traditional Caribbean and West African rhythms, hip hop, highlife and Glaswegian post-punk, featuring contributions from Optimo Music regulars Golden Teacher and Whilst, among others.

The proceeds from that project went directly back to the youth groups in Ghana and Belize, helping the musicians from Ghana’s Tafi Cultural Institute build a recording studio and performance space in their village.

Two years later, a grant from Creative Scotland’s Open Fund spawned the sequel to Youth Stand Up!: Youth Stand United, recorded both at Green Door and at TCI’s new studio in Ghana (with Golden Teacher’s Laurie Pitt at the controls), and mixed by Green Door’s Stuart and Emily Evans.

Youth Stand United features backing tracks contributed by members of Golden Teacher, Pu$$y Mothers, Whilst, Kaputt, and Sordid Sound System, with vocals provided by the musicians from TCI. Over 6 songs, it oscillates from the left-field disco of Diloeshutubui to the Juju-electro odyssey of Gidi to the Joe-Meek-meets-William Onyeabor space age gospel pop of Nobody Knows.

Proceeds from Youth Stand United will go towards a scholarship fund for musicians from Tafi Atome, Ghana.

End to end, back to back solid gold SOUL & FUNK bombs are what's contained on this slab of wax! That's right, Gwen's 1979 LP has lashings of dope drums, wriggly bass synths, brass and of course, THAT voice! Absolutely stellar tracks on here - 'all this love that I'm giving' - famously sampled by Cassius on their infamous smash 'feeling for you' is actually the album opener! The whole album unfolds from this point and we're treated to the classy, string laden 'I can only think of you' next. All in all this album has always been one of those rare LP's that has soul fans frothing at the mouth, traditionally a very tough one to track down and always commanding high prices on the collectors market. Released on TK Disco's CAT offshoot label and produced by the equally legendary Betty Wright (!) this is one sure shot that you'll need on your shelf and on your turntable if you're into this kind of flavour!

Legit Reissue of Ted Taylor's long sought after "Ghetto Disco" 12" excavated from the deepest realms of the TK Disco vaults!

Funky, rough round the edges in the best way, tough ghetto Disco grooves here from 1977, delivered by the mighty Ted Taylor who was originally a blues singer from Oklahoma. Pairing Taylor's soul-steeped voice with the sunshine-state production values of the legendary Wardell Quezergue ('Mr big stuff', 'Groove me' & more!), this one's a dance-floor sure-shot. Never has a track been more aptly named. This is a proper underground jam, one that, until now, was the preserve of the heads, diggers and Disco freaks. The eagle eared out there among you might recognise it from a certain underground hip-hop cut, answers on a postcard please! Pure Disco heat from Miami, yet again. A bonafideTK Disco classic!

Remastered, represented and brought back into focus for 2018's DJ bags and dance-floors!
As usual, these TK represses are always done in the proper manner. 100% legit from the archive, remastered and released in conjunction with Henry Stone Music / TK Disco - Miami FL.

Dusty archives, the backrooms of record stores, private reel to reel stashes, master tapes - these are the environs of the Dynamic Range experience.
Dynamic Range is a new label focused on unearthing deep Soul, Funk and Disco jams that continue to resonate with todays dancers and DJ's. Time spent scouring the bowels of the majors and independents has unsurprisingly resulted in numerous gems being added to the DR wants list. High quality, fully licensed reissues are the order of the day, always taken from the correct master source and re-presented to hungry record heads the world over. To repeat, this is a fully legit operation - Avoid the sharks at all costs!

George Benson's name is legendary, his much vaunted career in music has spanned decades, styles, trends and tastes. A prodigious jazz, funk & fusion guitarist and vocalist, Benson cut his teeth in the 1960's releasing music on labels such as CTI, Paul Winley, A&M and Warner Brothers. He has had numerous hit records throughout his career and maintained the respect and credibility that he built from the ground up, influencing generations of musicians, artists & producers. His 1977 version of the classic 'The World Is A Ghetto' features beautiful string-laden production and of course, Benson's languid guitar playing that graces the wonderful Claus Ogerman arrangements effortlessly. As well as being an underground disco classic, this amazing groove has been sampled by numerous contemporary producers, most notable Moodymann, Kanye West, Bob Sinclair and many more, a testament to the lush production and soul contained within the grooves of this classic. This repress is programmed exactly like the '77 disco promo 12" that record pool members and DJ's would have received and due to licensing constraints it features the same 9 minute 41 second mix on both sides.

All music selected by the Dynamic Range team / Licensed and reissued by Above Board distribution in conjunction with Warner Music.
Remastered with love by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK. Artwork and design by Atelier Superplus. 2018.

Released on TRAX in the golden year of 1989 Chicago's Virgo aka friends Eric Lewis and Merwyn Sanders, along with peers such as Larry Heard and Frankie Knuckles, gently pushed House music towards a more musically sophisticated realm that hadn't been explored previously. Across 8 tracks Virgo took us on a deep exploration of sound that was both masterfully arranged and produced and in direct contrast to a lot of the rudimental and jacking drum tracks that were the flavour of the day. There are few debut albums in the electronic sphere that can claim the title of 'classic', but this is surely one of them. A defining turning point in dance music, the dawn of what would later be referred to as the 'deep house' movement and sound is all evident with the grooves of this legendary record. Often listed as one of the 'greatest LP's of all time', this self-titled odyssey remains an essential, must have record that never loses it's magic, flawless in every way and still trailblazing today. Every home should have one. Remastered in conjunction with TRAX, repressed from the finest audio sources available. Often imitated, never replicated! 100% legit.

Session Victim can do no wrong in our eyes.  Not only do they run an absolutely brilliant vinyl-only label known as Retreatwith the help of fellow Berliner Quarion.  Not only do they play an amazing live set which has seen recent fans at London’s Corsica Studios get so worked up they started crowd-surfing.  Not only were they responsible for last years’ underground hit Good Intentions  which is so good it had Move D in tears as he closed a festival set with it last summer.  On top of all this they’re the nicest and most focused couple of chaps you ever did meet.  In short, we’re very proud and happy to be presenting their debut LP The Haunted House Of House on our humble label.  As with our last LP from the mighty 6th Borough Project, we have made the LP available as both a beautifully packaged triple pack vinyl as well as CD.

Opening track Dark Sienna sets the mood and serves as a good taster of what you can expect from their highly accomplished debut.  We’re talking looped up deep-disco territory here with a lovely mid-tempo rolling groove driven along by open hats and a square wave bassline, lush string sections and dubbed vocal hits all adding heat to the mix.

Zoinks continues the theme with the perfect balance of organic drums, dusty stabs and a healthy dose of solid gold machine-funk.  Push Comes To Shove follows, upping the pace slightly and resulting in one of the more obvious floor friendly cuts (or should i say as obvious as it gets with Session Victim!).

Next up is the more laid back yet still seriously head-nodding vibe of Alpine Glow on which the SV boys even manage to make a cut-up Mark King-esque slap bass sample sound good!  Haunted House dives straight in next with an uptempo jam featuring a heavy disco groove and compressed pads laced with subtle arpeggiating acid lines.  Some Balearic vibes are offered up next as things continue with Cow Palace and Bison until we’re hit with a special new LP version of Good Intentions, the original having been only available on vinyl so far.

Time to shake things up a bit next with a definite highlight of the LP - Light Scent of Decay.  As the acronym of the title suggests we are heading straight into psychedelic territory with this beautiful 9 minute and 40 second long live jam drawing us deep into its pleasantly off-kilter confines.  Next the boys drop it down a bit for Fine, which sees the duo opt for some headnodding hip hop vibes.  And finally we have the spellbinding Flying Visit to leave us on a total high.

Coming on like some long-lost Nightmares On Wax classic, we are treated to a gentle Balearic beauty which should leave you in no doubt that you’re in capable hands with Session Victim at the helm.

Hands down proper Detroit gear, timeless classic material here, if that's what you're after - look no further! Coming on strong way back in '87 on the legendary KMS label 'When we used to play' is 4 solid as cuts, stripped back box jams, sleazy vocals and samples and ultra-jacking rhythms! This one's for the heads and is the first of 2 Baxter 12"s that Mint Condition will be presenting to you! Trademark deep basslines and sultry atmospheres are what Baxter does best and this is one of the first, and best, examples of his unique flavour of house and techno. Strictly Mood II Swing is a new track collection of music from one of the most influential house music duos of all time. As Mood II Swing, production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone will go down in history as one of the most prolific and respected house duos of the last 25 years. At their best, they were simply untouchable, with their drum programming often cited as what set them apart from the rest of the field: always busier and more intricate than straight-up 4/4 house tracks. Early underground hits arrived in the form of ‘Critical’, ‘Searchin’ and ‘Closer’ – cutting edge house records that have unequivocally stood the test of time and can still be heard frequently in clubs to this day. But it was the duo's original production of Ultra Naté's ‘Free’ for Strictly Rhythm that struck gold. The song became a huge hit and soon Mood II Swing was remixing big-name producers to tremendous effect, including BT ‘Remember’, Nuyorican Soul’ It's Alright I Feel It’ and Lucy Pearl ‘Don’t Mess With My Man’. In addition to the aforementioned tracks, highlights include ‘All Night Long’ and ‘Do It Your Way’ -, two records that arguably set a blueprint for house music production that is still be referenced by producers around the world. This knack of turning big vocal records into even bigger vocal club records is demonstrated with Kim English ‘Learn II Love’ and Fonda Rae ‘Living in Ecstasy’, while their dub mixes – think Everything But The Girl 'Wrong' (Mood II Swing Dub) and Mood II Swing feat. Carol Sylvan 'Closer' (Swing II Mood Dub) – are about as timeless as house music gets.

This album sampler contains 4 of their best remixes... Fonda Rae - Living in Ecstasy (The Groove Mix), Doubleplusgood "Conga Te" (Mood II Swing 12" Mix), Eric Gadd "The Right Way" (Mood II Swing Dub) & BT "Remember" (Mood II Swing Dub).

Dig in....

The era of major label 'dance' subsidiaries and remixes certainly threw up tons of classics and unexpected favourites. A time when the A&R men in the big offices were looking for the next streetwise sound, the next club anthem. One such label was the former independent and then Atlantic-backed Big Beat, helmed by the clubbable Craig Kallman who had cut his teeth as a DJ and promo man in NYC's music underground. Utilising his skills, Kallman signed Tropical Moon's 1991 seminal deep house EP 'Love Is A Mystery', a collaborative effort by underrated house heavyweights Nelson 'Paradise' Roman and 'Blue' Jean Hughes (RIP). It's no surprise that this record became a cult must-have with DJ's, here was a sublime and mature record crafted by 2 giants of the deeper side of house music, working in unison to create something 'other'. 4 tracks deep with a wide range of style and oozing sheer class, the whole record still sounds incredible today. A must-have for anyone with a love for soulful and deep music, brought back into view for 2018. An extremely sought after and hard to obtain slab of wax right here. Forget those wack bootlegs that you may see online, this is the real deal.

'Love Is A Mystery' has been legitimately released with the full involvement of the rights holders and Atlantic Records and remastered by Bristol's Optimum Mastering from the original sources especially for this release. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at Mint Condition!

From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....

Here at Mint Condition we work overtime, lock ourselves away, make all the necessary phone-calls to Chicago and beyond to ensure that we could reissue a masterpiece of modern House music. If you're reading this then you already know our hard work has paid off as for our second release we're super proud to present the legendary "Emotions Unknown" by Chicago's Circulation for a special remastered 2016 edition.

Circulation aka Joshua Iz (Iz & Diz) dropped this incredible EP all the way back in 1995 on Ron Trent and Chez Damier's seminal Prescription offshoot Balance. "Emotions Unknown" is one of those rare specimens, an almost flawless record in every way, the type of nugget that gets people all hot under the collar, and rightfully so! The grooves contained within are simply dripping and oozing class... the deepest of the deep, top shelf stuff, ahead of the game! A record that still sounds contemporary, fresh... futuristic even now, 20+ years after it hit the streets.
Across it's 5 tracks we are treated to some of the most sublime, beautifully crafter deep House sounds that will ever grace your eardrums. Honestly. If, like us, your favourite hobby is digging for records and discovering old/new sounds then you'll understand what a big deal this record is. If you're one of the uninitiated you're in for a real treat... here's the perfect opportunity to own a record you'll keep coming back to for years to come, a timeless collection of cuts that will never tire - Sincerely!

MC002 has been remastered and reissued straight from Joshua's private DAT tapes and remastered by London's very own Curvepusher. 100% legit, licensed and released in conjunction with Joshua Michaels AKA 'Iz'. Absolutely ESSENTIAL record right here - The Underground Solution aka The 'S' Man aka the legendary Roger Sanchez is a name that you should all be familiar with by now, and his 1990 ANTHEM 'Luv Dancin' is an NYC deep house benchmark. That's right, this originally came out in 1990. That's a heck of a long time ago. Thing is, this record, when played at the right time will still cause maximum damage in the club. Riffing on disco classic 'Is it all over my face' and with elements of 'The bottle' interspersed with a deep, rolling garage bassline and dreamy keys and pads Sanchez crafted a solid gold cut, a timeless piece of dance music that still inspires today and is often imitated yet obviously never bettered! The flipside cuts 'Deep in my mind' and 'Afterthought' are also sublime exercises in the deepness, The 'S' Man's trademark eerie pads, bleeps and dope drum programming evident throughout, making these tracks huge hits from NYC to Sheffield and beyond! This whole EP is flawless and if you dig the deeper side of this stuff then you're in for a treat - Now's your chance to bag a bonafide, hands down classic record!

'Luv Dancin' has been skilfully remastered from all original master sources and fully licensed and reissued officially for 2017.

This edit of Mali's Amadou & Mariam "Ce N'est pas Bon" (originally created in 2008 for my dj sets) was supposed to be included on the recently released third Autonomous Africa 12". Unfortunately I didn't get permission to use it in time for that release but permission has now been given, so rather than wait for AA 004 in 2015 it is going to come out as a limited edition hand stamped 10" as soon as possible. All proceeds will once again go to the Mtandika mission in Tanzania -www.actioninafrica.org/about-mtandika.php

A big thanks to Ben UFO and Midland for championing this edit. The interest they generated directly led to the motivation for this release.

Another dyed-in-the-wool house classic here, from all the way back in the golden mists of 1987 on the tiny, cult Danica label. Don't forget, Mint Condition's mission is to bring you the classics too, a nice, new copy to play out in the club so you can keep your original nice and fresh! We care about these things. That's why we're happy to present this monumental slab of Chicago house history from one of the absolute gods of this culture - Mr. Frankie Knuckles - this time operating under his Night Writers alias. We're not sure too much needs to be said about this one, it's all here really, that classic Knuckles deep touch, the musicality, the vibe... Ricky Dillard's vocals encapsulating that feeling when the music takes over, pure abandon. The pairing of these two talents results in what would eventually become a bona-fide house CLASSIC. No arguments. If you're not familiar you're in for a treat, if you already know then you're nodding your head and agreeing with everything you've just read. Simple really - YOU NEED THIS ONE!

'Let The Music Use You' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of all license holders for 2017 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Detroit bred / LA based producer Kenny Larkin has long been a force to be reckoned with, both in the studio and in the DJ booth. His 'Vanguard EP' from 1992 was released under the name POD, another of his aliases used for the deep sonic exploration of Techno that he undertook, thus changing the face of modern electronic music right up to this day. Featured here is the full '92 EP with the addition of another POD rarity entitled 'Chinese Checkers', lifted from a compilation a number of years later. The music contained within this 2 x 12" reissue should not be understated, this is pure, unadulterated Detroit Techno sounds of the highest order. A truly staggering collection of music that somehow transcends the decades since it's release 20+ years ago and still sounds forward thinking today. Like the majority of Larkin's music, this deserves the highest possible spot on your record shelf, a true classic of the genre and every single home should have one. No snoozing. Reissued for the first time across 2 x 12"s for pure sonic superiority.

The 'Vanguard EP' has been legitimately released with the full involvement of Kenny Larkin and remastered from the source materials by Curve Pusher Mastering from the original sources especially for this release. 100% legit, licensed and released. One of the early big records in the UK that preceded the acid house mania that followed in 1988 and Mr. Lee's first in a string of releases on Trax. Adonis recalls bumping into Mr. Lee in the street: "What's up with you, Adonis?" and I said, "Oh man, I got a record out. I'm doin' house music and makin' money at it." The next time I saw him, he was sayin', "Hey man, I got a record out too!" 'I Can't Forget' features a more spoken word delivery in comparison to his later productions where he'd retooled and become a rapper (of sorts).
