    3. B1. Even Tides (Bruno Pronsato Remix)
    4. B2. Nordic Bummers (Clovis Remix)

2017 saw Cesar Merveille & Ryan Crosson deliver their second long player in the shape of ‘Cerulean’, drawing on their modern classical, jazz, ambient and abstract influences to create yet another unique listen featuring collaborations with a classical pianist, trumpet, guitar and double bass players. Here we see those original parts eschewed into something entirely fresh from friends and close associates of the duo.

Leading on the release is Cadenza boss Luciano’s ‘Sous Le Sol’ interpretation of ‘ARP’, which twists and turns through the hypnotic chimes and emotive piano chords of the original whilst stirring in Lucien’s signature modulating and intricately evolving rhythmic style. Following is a collaborative rework from New York’s Phil Moffa and Seth Troxler which employs ethereal synth drones and stuttering vocal cuts alongside a bumpy percussive drive and pulsating subs.

Perlon’s Bruno Pronsato steps up next to remix ‘Even Tides’, delivering his typically raw and emotive style via glitched out, mind-bending percussion, elongated bass drones and cleverly reshaped cuts of the original’s cinematic elements. L.A’s Clovis then closes the package with his remix of ‘Nordic Bummers’, employing shuffled hats, lumpy subs and crunchy claps at it’s core whilst horn swells and aiy atmospherics ebb and flow throughout.

    2. A2. Tutti Frutti
    3. B1. The Numbers
    4. B2. A.F.T.E.R.

Cuttin’ Headz returns with a new EP from long-time Martinez Brothers collaborator Argy, entitled ‘The Numbers’ EP and backed with remixes from DJ Skull and Christian Burkhardt.

The impossible to pigeonhole artist, known for numerous quality underground hits, such as ‘Love Dose’, ‘Unreliable Virgin’, ‘Debbiedowner’, ‘Upon Ourselves’, to name but a few, marks his return with “The Numbers” EP. After spending an entire week digging for gems in the basement of a legendary vinyl store, indulging in white label bootlegs and lost classics from the 80s and early 90s, Argy left with a bag full of rare pressings and was immediately inspired to compose his next EP after having spent a year focusing solely on remixing artists such as DJ Hell, Detroit household name Terrence Parker and more.

Riddled with obscure 30-year-old vinyl fragments and noises ‘The Numbers’ EP nods towards the UK Rave scene, early Warp, US proto-house and NuGroove. ‘The Numbers’ EP was all recorded with a live feel and the title cut lays focus on acid bass, dymamic drums and trippy vocals before ‘Tutti Fruti’ employs hip house vocals, swinging rhythms and spiraling synths swells, ‘A.F.T.E.R’ then rounds out the originals with a darker edge via murky stabs and echoing vocal murmurs.

Chicago House legend DJ Skull steps in to rework ‘The Numbers’ next, and as expected delivers high- octane energetic house fuelled by a drum machine workout, the original’s hypnotizing bass lead and sporadic vocal shots before Germany’s Christian Burkhardt stamps his unique mark on the title-track via skippy drums, a snaking bass groove and intricate processing of the original elements.

Audio-visual artists Soundwalk Collective were granted exclusive access to the personal archive of the groundbreaking filmmaker and present their ambitious New Album and Remix EP: What We Leave Behind released on 18th & 25th May 2018.

The NYC and Berlin based group were invited to aurally explore the archive of the seminal French director Jean-Luc Godard and release their interpretations in an innovative new album What We Leave Behind. Drawing on Godard’s personal collection of shot film, reel- to-reels and historical ephemera, the recordings reveal the moments before and after the camera rolls, from stage directions and on-set asides to rehearsals, false stars and outtakes.

“There are boxes filled with sounds, words, chaos, and also silence. For Godard sound is a musical composition and when I began listening to the tapes and heard his voice between takes, it was like little bits of life...each sound has its own value. It has always been part of our working practice to venture into untapped sonic territories, discover the poetics behind them, and explore how we (as humans) relate to it, it is part of a larger discourse.” - Stephan Crasneancki, Soundwalk Collective

Revealing much insight to the director’s process and personality, the 6-track album will be followed by a remix EP, featuring unique reworks from Ricardo Villalobos, Jan Jelinek and Petre Inspirescu.

What We Leave Behind, and the subsequent remix EP, arrive 50 years to the day that the the Cannes Film Festival, 1968, was closed after Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut and Claude Lelouche, publicly announced their closing of the festival in solidarity with workers and students protesting across the country.

The LP features a conversation between Stephan Crasneanscki, of Soundwalk Collective, and François Musy, Jean-Luc Godard’s sound engineer, printed on a translucent paper insert. The LP and Remix EP both contain imagery taken by Stephan Crasneanscki of the archives, which he has also filmed to create a series of mesmeric short music videos of original and remix tracks.

An international genre-bending group of artist-musicians with studios in New York City and Berlin, the three members of Soundwalk Collective (Stephan Crasneanscki, Simone Merli, and Kamran Sadeghi) formed in Manhattan to produce concept albums, sound installations, and live performances, and have worked with a diverse range of collaborators, from Nan Goldin and Patti Smith to Berghain and Zaha Hadid.

John Talabot and Axel Boman teamed up in 2017 for their R&S debut ’The Night Land’ where they got to flex their creative muscles over eight tracks of rich synth jams.

The two electronic artists have been independently successful in their respective careers, but as Pitchfork expressed in their glowing review “Their collective output doesn’t sound much like either’s work; it doesn’t even necessarily reflect the thin, convex sliver where their interests overlap. Instead, they’ve hit upon something new.”

This new sound also proved to be a hit with the likes of Mojo, Phonica, XLR8R, Self Titled and DJ Mag all including it their annual best of lists.

The artists have now handpicked four artists to create their own vision of the Talaboman sound.

Superpitcher, Samo DJ and Luke Slater under his L.B. Dub Corp alias have all seriously delivered the goods.

    4. B2. On My Way (Dub Acid Rework)

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his second appearance on Rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled ‘On My Way’, featuring a remix from 50Weapons and Hyperdub’s Addison Groove.

The Italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on Tenax Recordings. However, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on Rekids Special Projects, On Edge Society and his own label UNCAGE, not to mention forthcoming appearances on Gigolo and Avotre. He now returns to Rekids with his biggest sounding record yet.

With its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that ‘On My Way’ is destined to become one of this year’s most recognisable club tracks. On the flip, Bristolian producer and Swamp 81 affiliate Addison Groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. Finally, Faraone concludes the package with a ‘Dub Acid Rework’, losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

    6. C2. Seth Troxler - Aphrika
    7. D1. Kiki - Good Voodoo (Visionquest Remix)
    8. D2. Fever Ray - Seven (Seth Troxler RMX)

To mark the first astonishing chapter of his career, Seth Troxler is presenting ‘This is Then’, an essential ten track compilation album taken from his ever impressive discography.

In the ten years since Michigan born Troxler relocated to Europe, he has become one of dance music’s most recognizable figures. As a solo producer, collaborator and founding member of Visionquest, he has set the global techno agenda both in the DJ booth and studio. He’s served up landmark mixes for the likes of Boogybytes and DJ-Kicks, released on key labels from No.19 to NRK, Circus Company to Crosstown Rebels, and now runs his own label Play It Say It, and Tuskagee with The Martinez Brothers. ‘This Is Then’ is a compilation which serves to bookend the first part of his ongoing story, and also highlights how unique a producer he truly is.

The album takes in many of Troxler’s different aliases, including an opener from Young Seth which was first released on Omar S’s FXHE in 2005. It’s a dark and involving track with real depth in the drums and atmosphere in the sparse synth work. From there ‘Satisfy’ is a freaky and eerie track of stripped back minimal funk, ‘Friend of Mine’ is a bumping and pared back house cut and ‘Oogity Boogity’, as Thrill Cosby, is another hugely inventive offering of machine made grooves.

The second half takes in more singular sounds in the form of the slippery and seductive ‘Still Hot’ with long time friend Shaun Reeves, the colourful and cosmic house of ‘Jus Your’ with Baby Prince, perfectly dreamy and hypnotic depths of ‘Aphrika’ plus the huge Visionquest remix of Kiki’s modern classic ‘Good Voodoo.’ Things close out with a remix of Fever Ray’s ‘Seven’ that shows another side to Seth with its pressured drums and expertly treated vocal. This broad and brilliant compilation is a vital reminder of Seth’s wide ranging studio skills and always innovative musical mind and perfectly encapsulates the range of his productions to date.

Man Power’s Me Me Me label proudly presents a very special new compilation, ‘We We We’, which will see all profits donated to the vital Help Refugees charity. The release boasts 25 new and exclusive tracks from a wide range of artists both new and established including Pional, Juan Maclean, Shit Robot, Medlar, ASOK, Ian Blevins and more. As well as the full album, two limited, vinyl-only samplers will also be released, with each featuring one exclusive track that is not available anywhere digitally.

The recipient of the albums profits, Help Refugees, is the leading UK NGO in a new movement of humanitarian aid, helping to plug the gaps in services not provided to those displaced by war. The man behind the compilation’s concept is Man Power aka Geoff Kirkwood, an established producer with credits for his off kilter mix of house, disco, ambient and techno on labels like John Talabot’s Hivern Discs, ESP Institute and Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondent.

Kirkwood says, “I have wanted to do a compilation of this nature for a long time. I’m incredibly lucky, as well as eternally grateful, to know so many talented artists who were willing to donate wonderful music towards this important cause.” The gratitude clearly flows both ways with Help Refugees director Philli Boyle saying “We are so grateful to Man Power and to all the incredible artists who have shown solidarity with displaced people across the world”.

The superb compilation kicks off in plaintive fashion with absorbing ambient tracks from Ian Blevins, Dharma and ASOK. Pale Blue’s ‘Eyes’ then brings deep and persuasive drums into the picture with thoughtful, sombre synths lingering up top. There is a real beauty to much of the selection here, as demonstrated by more wistful chords on Forriner’s lush deep house day dream ‘Sunrise in Bensham’, while jacking dance floor tackle comes from Pink Skull and Medlar’s pumping 909 drums and the pixelated melodic delights of Christophe’s rugged, Chicago-indebted jack track ‘Winder’.

Man Power himself pops up with an epic nine minute opus that is broad, sweeping house music at its most dramatic and evocative, and Pional’s ‘Night Charmer’ is a typically inventive cut with icy drones and dehumanised vocals. Big hitters like Shit Robot offer a heavy dose of dub house, while ‘Quantume Reach’ by Juan Maclean (feat Amy Douglas) is gorgeously off beat house with thoughtful chords and spine-tingling vocals with a poignant message.

This is a compilation jam-packed with a broad array of accomplished and standout sounds, and that it is all for charity only makes it an even more essential and welcome release.
The full album is released exclusively via Bandcamp on 4th May in exchange for a ‘no minimum’ donation to the charity, with the label asking to please give generously.

    1. A All My Dreams
    2. B Innocence

First in a series of four 12” singles produced by Maurice Fulton

Today Róisín Murphy announces a series of four 12”singles produced by Maurice Fulton and released across consecutive months this summer through The Vinyl Factory, and shares the first pair of songs “All My Dreams / Innocence”.

From Moloko onwards, Murphy has always gravitated towards a deep groove. But here, with Baltimore maverick musician/producer/DJ Maurice Fulton, she's gone and made some of the most hip-twitching, pleasure-centre-stimulating music of her life. And it's being released in the only correct way for sounds so intimately connected to the dancefloor: on a series of 12” singles, with stunning graphics from Portuguese New Yorker Braulio Amado.

“Ultimately its about dancing,” says Murphy. “My kind of dancing: all low and funky, allowing itself to be a little out of control. It's all very simple in a way but Maurice has spent a lifetime immersed in music for dancing. His experience and depth of knowledge is undeniable. I did as I was told!”

Across all eight original songs, her lyrics are intense, exploratory, probing into dark parts of her own and the listener's psyche – all the while working on the immediate, endorphin-stimulating dancefloor level too – and her voice is finer, richer, more expressive than ever. The tracks are full of the unadulterated, but deeply warped funk which Maurice has honed over his decades of dancefloor experience. This is as vivid and urgent as Murphy has ever sounded, and it bodes more than well for whatever comes next in her absurdly exciting on going voyage of discovery. “I've got more projects on the go,” she says; “I've got some new and exciting collaborators on board and I'm hoping an interesting patchwork of ideas and formats will emerge in due time. But for now I'm just gonna dance it out!!!”

Most definitely her own artistic-director, Murphy recently took on a bold, experimental venture, issuing a clarion call to “dancers, choreographers, actors, dreamers” to collaborate with her at an exciting two-day residency in London’s The Store X. With the purpose to  create epic video work that will span the entire project. As with the stunning visuals from her last two albums all the videos are directed by Murphy herself.  In her own words: "We made a rave with a purpose. In the run-up I had made several funny little adverts asking people to come and join us. Sort of "shout going out" across my social media platforms, I was astonished by the response. I have just begun an intense editing process. Incredible people came to the shoot and gave it their all for two days solid, total dedication. A most humbling experience and one of the best of my entire creative life, regardless of the outcome." Keep your eyes peeled for the “All My Dreams” video, the first in a series of visuals, coming on May 18th.

Complimenting the long-awaited release of sophomore LP, Song for Alpha, Daniel Avery presents the Projector EP. Taking its title from one of the album’s spectral highlights this additional trio of original productions expands on Avery’s regenerated sonic vision. Leaning further towards the rhythmic and propulsive intent behind his recent, marathon DJ sets, the record serves to delve further still into his unfolding, ever-deepening sound.

Following the lead of ‘Projector’ itself, the record transitions into the first exclusive cut, ‘Shadow Mountain’. Soft in texture and bathed in ethereal feedback, a glitching, transfixing synth line gradually reveals itself as the spine of the piece.

Throughout ‘Glass’, an intimate, breathy vocal sample contrasts with a more industrially tinged base of heavily processed drums. Influenced by Song for Alpha’s embrace of the small hours, “the light emerging from the darkness”, both tracks conjure an almost overwhelmingly tender atmosphere, rich in the hazy strains of rave history.

On the more experimental REHBGBV4367, the seams of Avery’s influences lap against one another in a steady crescendo of beautiful yet beatless noise, dissipating into ambience. Expanding on the delicate core ideas at the centre of his creative ethos, the EP invites listeners on a further excursion of transient, psychedelic bliss.

Having pinned to perfection the sonics of the Adriatic, Croatia’s Love International Festival bottles up their blissed out rhythms and sunrise sessions for the inauguration of Love International Recordings, fittingly, with a first release from UK producer Begin.

Bringing the Love International feel to wax and digital, the label will encapsulate the range of music the festival’s secluded party paradise has become renowned for. All the way from the balearic tinges of this first release, to the meatier house, techno and electro selections on show at Barbarellas.

Begin aka James Holroyd has a long history with Love International. Dating back to the early 2000s, Holroyd was one of the first guest DJs at the old Garden festival on the former festival site in Petrčane. Long serving Chemical Brothers tour DJ, Back to Basics resident since the 90's and Bugged Out co founder, Begin has long paid his paid his dues to the scene. In the words of Dave Harvey: “he’s been an absolute workhorse in dance music for time”.

Love International 001's tracks seemingly fit the festivals own daily lifecycle. From the docile guitar picking of meditative EP opener ‘Wood Trees’ to the slow daybreak funk of ‘Daypulse’ where synths pierce through the track like sun rays through the Adriatic dusk, the EP is a holistic reflection of what one might hear at one of the festival’s fabled sunrise sessions. ‘Garden Interlude’ ushers in a fresh burst of energy, with the revitalizing sounds of piano house, paired with warming neo soul vocals. ‘Into The Fun’ is a self fulfilling prophecy, closing the EP on a quintessentially balearic note.

More vinyl remixes from Psychemagik with the long awaited official 'Dancehall Days' remix sanctioned by Jack Hues from Wang Chung himself. Jack liked Psychemagiks re-edit of Dance Hall Days so much he contacted the duo and offered them the parts for an official remix. The result is a monster dancefloor friendly beast that is true to the original edit but with some extra magik! ‘Psychemagik stand out from the crowd with high production values and innate musicality. I usually find remixes tedious, but this takes you on some off-world journey – very cool.’ Jack Hues (Wang Chung)

Pharaohs is a live band from Los Angeles including blossoming producers Suzanne Kraft, Ale Cohen (from the legendary Dublab) and surfer/synth-geek, Sam Cooper. One might assume these lot are in search of their sound, dabbling in various sub-genres, loosely citing a mixed bag of references… but any listener with a refined palette will acknowledge these three as Renaissance Men of the highest order. They simply know what sounds nice and strive to execute their vision with taste, regardless of what inspiration fuels them at any given moment. Side A leads with "Ahumbo" (named after Sam's dream beach in Zanzibar), blending a dry and simplistic rhythm section with swelling synth chords, a cheeky vocal and a vibrant surf guitar. Following "Ahumbo" is the title track "Island Time," a bouncy jungle vibe with chant about tropical fruits, a reminder that its always Summer somewhere! Last, but not least, Side B doles out "If It Ever Feels Right," a percussive House jam that is literally a JAM… Its on this track, with its live percussion, saxophone and drum programming, that the band capacaity of Pharoahs shines.

If we listen to the Higher Self, our experience of life is joyful and abundant. When you see yourself connected to something bigger than yourself, you no longer feel must do it all alone. Your sense of power becomes highly magnified and your fears are greatly diminished. With the Universal Energy on your side, you can learn to trust not only yourself, but the Universe as well. There is nothing to fear. You are tapping into your source of power. When people speak of being "on a path" or that "life is a journey," they're referring to the constant vigil required to listen to the lessons of the Higher Self. The path that needs changing is the one that's in your mind. It is your mind that has to be changed first, then all that's right will follow. As you begin to awaken, reach out and turn on your tape machine, lie with your eyes closed and let the soothing, loving message sink in, "I am creating a beautiful day."

Young Marco stepped into the ESP Institute one day in 2012 with a handful of undeniably brilliant music, and has ever since maintained an integral role in the mission of the label. His unaffected instinct and sincere writing process are perfectly balanced by his meticulous craft—a rare quality among contemporary artists which promises a vast and fruitful oeuvre. This is universal music, transcending genre and taste level despite being wholly instrumental. Much like his ability as a DJ, pairing esoteric records to discerning dance floors worldwide, Marco's talent for producing the right voice in an emotive melody and dynamic arrangement is aspirational. Biology is a passionate album that will outlive the many fleeting wrinkles in electronic music, but will more importantly nest in your heart.

There is a long-standing love affair between DJ Harvey and Pikes, Ibiza. As well as coming back for his third consecutive ‘Mercury Rising’ residency, the legendary ‘DJs’ DJ has been appointed ‘Cultural Attaché’ for Pikes, meaning his magic touch and feel-good presence will create even more special moments at Pikes this summer, including the launch of new label, Pikes Records.

In 2015 DJ Harvey made his hugely anticipated return to Ibiza and made Pikes his home for his Mercury Rising debut, a concept inspired by the beauty of the real Ibiza, the incredible history of Pikes and a genuine love for music. The love, the dancing, the music and the Balearic spirit perfectly and poetically encapsulated by DJ Harvey has seen Mercury Rising widely recognised as the most special night to embrace the island in over a decade.

The next step in the Harvey and Pikes story sees him launch Pikes Records – the first record label founded by Pikes owners and Ibiza Rocks Co-Founders Andy McKay and Dawn Hindle. On the label, Harvey explains: “I see so many avenues to work together to release music, everything from live recordings from Ibiza Rocks and Pikes, mix tapes, original productions, showcasing new artists, there’s all sorts of avenues to open up.”

With the finer details still under wraps, it’s safe to say fans can look forward to the first release being Harvey’s very own Mercury Rising compilation. But what can we expect from the third instalment of Mercury Rising? Putting it quite simply, “Just a serious good time really” says Harvey.

The Sound Of Mercury Rising will be released September 15th on Pikes Records and DJ Harvey and his infamous all night long sets return for Mercury Rising from Monday 7th August to 25th September at Pikes Hotel.

Bicep make a return to their own Feel My Bicep imprint in the wake of their lauded AUS Music anthem ‘Just’ and their remix of Dyone on First Choice Records. Having released a series of sought after 12”s on FMB the London based duo continue to prosper and make a solo return home with their ‘Dahlia’ EP teaming up with school friend, gym buddy and blog partner Hammer aka Rory Hamilton.

Having began as erudite record collectors and now an inimitable production force, the Belfast born Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar have built a signature sound through an arsenal of hardware and a penchant for skippy rhythms and heartfelt synths. For FMB005, the pair deliver 5 five new house jams that fans, both old and new will relish: a package of potent analogue drums and sequences that are coloured with a signature degree of swooning melodicism.

The title track kicks things off with a mournful panned pad that lays the foundations for whetted percussion and a buoyant thud. Hats continue to scurry ahead of rapturous piano stabs that build towards a heartrending chord and vocal combo. ‘Rays’, inspired by early morning sets at Panorama Bar, sets a bass pattern tumbling under a crunching percussive loop and dramatic, reverberated synth stabs. Dreamy vocal chops build momentum behind a minorkey shift that signals another rousing breakdown before ‘Seagulls’ then sets shuffling snare rhythms over whistling synths and a rich, filtered bass pattern.

Both mixes of ‘Go’, inspired by the same studio session as "Just" then mark the introduction of FMB’s digital availability. These digital exclusives will now be available alongside the rest of the FMB catalogue exclusively through Beatport for 2 weeks and subsequently in other digital outlets.

The ‘Flanger’ mix uses tangible filters to drive a circling sequence of broken drums throughout while a short vocal snippet adds an urgent edge. The ‘Liquid’ mix melds spacey pads and squelching resonance control into an altogether more mellow affair that caps off another fine addition to the FMB series and begins a new chapter for the label’s operations.

Bicep make their way home to Feel My Bicep records for their first 12” on the imprint since their collaborative ‘Dahlia’, recorded with Hammer, back in September of 2015.

FMB006 is a notable addition to the label - a reimagining of Blaze’s seminal recording ‘Lovelee Dae’ - originally released on Classic back in 1997, before a string of subsequent re-issues and remix packages on Playhouse, True and Urban Tracks that included Carl Craig and 20:20 Vision.

The remix was originally designed to be included in their Essential Mix in 2014, but a lack of space has meant that its pressing on FMB is the first time it sees the light of day. Using Ralph Lawson and Carl Finlow’s classic aforementioned acapella version as the basis of their work, the Bicep lads ensnare an air of swooning euphoria in their remix that stays true to both their original productions and their DJ sets.

Shortened vocals suffuse galloping 909s and a gleaming synth riff that certify it as a festival fail safe.

Well. Where do we start with 'Deep Inside'? Originally released in the golden NYC House era of 1993, this 5 tracker literally smashed everything in sight. And still does now! The epitome of an evergreen, all-time classic release. Masters At Work Louie Vega and Kenny Dope were on a major roll in this era, producing, remixing, dj-ing and everything in-between, these guys put in ridiculous work. They are joined on this EP by a roll-call of names and collaborators, Erick Morillo engineering the title track? Check. Maurice Joshua on co-production duties? You got it. Vocals by Ms. Barbara tucker? They're there. Killer, rock hard drums? Stacks of Soul? Masterfully chopped up Disco samples? All present. Serious stuff. Sometimes a record just manages to capture and distill the true essence of what this is all about and 'Deep Inside' is one such record, it bears all the hallmarks of golden era MAW, all the signposts of what was happening in NYC's clubs in the early to mid 90's were there within it's grooves. You know a record is good when it's still being, quite literally, hammered nearly 25 years later! Now, remastered, and reissued with the full involvement of Strictly Rhythm this seminal piece of NYC House history is made available again with all original, full sleeve artwork intact as per the 1993 original. This one's a straight up essential for any self-respecting dance aficionado. You know what to do!

Those wizards of digging Psychemagik doing the business once again. Hot on the heels of last year's monstrous 'Gotta hold on me / Wildman' they're letting folks know that they were still out there searching in the darkest recesses of the last 40+ years of popular and unpopular music, and boy oh boy are they good at it!

'The Trip' lives up to it's name. The track kicks off with some ultra beefed up psychedelic shenanigans, swirling, cacophonous sounds whirl and sweep and gradually drag us into the holographic tunnel, gradually giving way to some heavyweight drums and percussions and unfurling into a muscular psych-discoid beast. This one will send the kids crazy and will undoubtedly cause some damage in the club, both sonically and mentally. 'But what is the original?' we hear you say... answers on a postcard please.

'Sisters of the moon' on the flip-side is a very different animal - All laid back, laconic steel-guitars and thundering slo-mo drums and percussion. The dark side of a rural witchcraft dream exposed here, almost menacing... and then? Those vocals spring out of the mix amidst the throbbing sexually charged atmosphere and drag us back into the realm of 'near reality' with sultry moans and groans. This one's woozy alright, but in the best possible way. So wrong, it's right and possibly the natural soundtrack to too many of those strange shots that that guy in the weird hat gave us earlier when we entered that country pub. 'What guy?' I hear you ask....

Ultimate freak-disco and deepest druid Funk for the discerning and psychedelically inclined record consumer.
