    1. A1 Mappa Mundi - Trance Fusion
    2. B1 Quin2 - Narcism Killed Cameleon

Late eighties, early nineties. A back-alley studio in Antwerp where New Beat and Detroit techno lingered. Trance was still in the house. Electronic body and mind music, fuelled by common sense and primitive artificial intelligence.

There was a Buzz about Wonka. Elektrons revolving around Atom. Humanity firmly on the Mappa Mundi. Labels and sub labels, one-off projects and alter egos, unsung heroes and soon-to-be stars. Laurent Garnier pushing Ludovic Navarre to pass on his tapes. All-night light from Koenie’s basement. Sven Van Hees entangled in Liaisons Dangereuses. Jan Van Den Bergh before lounge. Jan Vanneste spreading the News. Jan Berquin and Nicolas Rosquin going quadratic.

USA Import was ready to export its own music. Antwerp bio techno. Homegrown and uncut. These tracks are evergreens from that place and time.

    1. A1. Idocracy
    2. A2. Fuzy
    3. B1. Limited Perception
    4. B2. No Matter Where You're From

Fina Records strides into 2018 with another fresh new house EP, this time from PASO aka Pascal Pamme. Over the last few years this French artist has released on the likes of D.KO Records, Increase, and The Groove, and always showcases his knack for loose limbed, organic house grooves laden with jazzy keys and soul-infused synths. The four cuts he offers up here once again prove he is a producer with a truly authentic and musical style.

The warm and golden ‘Idocracy’ kicks things off with gently shuffling kicks, noodling chords and twinkling keys that together make for a perfectly cozy and intimate house track. ‘Fuzy’ is another perfectly louche and disheveled number with woody kicks stuttering beneath effusive Rhodes keys. Vinyl crackle and tinkling percussive sounds add to the immediately aged and lived in style of the track and mean it is one that will get smaller rooms well and truly involved.

On the flip, ‘Limited Perception’ ups the ante, with quicker drums decorated with more languid chords, plenty of smartly sampled sounds and a breezy sense of groove that is heartfelt and effortlessly feel good. Last of all, ‘No Matter Where You’re From’ has great female vocals stitched into long-tailed pads as lazy, swaggering drums lay down a perfectly imperfect groove. It rounds out an EP of masterfully atmospheric house for those who like their beats with real feeling.

    1. A1 Don't Laugh (Live Raw Mix)
    2. A2 Don't Laugh (Accapella)
    3. B1 Don't Laugh (Richie Hawtin Remix)

A heavyweight classic! 'Don't Laugh' is one of those records, you know you've heard it, you may not who, what or where, but you know it!
The original Winx mix is a classic, often imitated, never bettered, but the real gem here is Richie Hawtin's manic, almost borderline sinister 15+ minute reworking.
Monster doesn't do it justice, tweaked out, narcotic, minimalist jacking gear. A dope combination of severe LOW end and some bracing sine waves that cut straight through. This one will surely test any club sound-system, if the venue is built for it you will know! This is one for the real heads, pure late night business oft overlooked for the more famous A-side, but trust us - Hawtin's mix will smash any dance! Oh, and there's an insane laughing acappella for those who want to mix and blend! Reissued, remastered and re-sorted for 2017 by Above Board Records with the full involvement of Nervous Records NYC.

    1. A. Traces To Nowhere
    2. B1. Understand
    3. B2. Suivre

It seems like the Italians are well and truly taking over here at
Freerange these days. Following hot on the heels of releases from Stefano
Ritteri and Bugsy we now present you with a brilliant three tracker from
Rome-based producer Whitesquare. Known for previous releases on 2020
Vision and Toy Tonics Whitesquare has switched up his sound a little to
delve deeper into the world of Afro-inspired electronic house which fits
perfectly on Freerange and should appeal to fans of Hyenah, Rancido and
    the Keinemusik crew.

Title track Traces To Nowhere sets the tone, taking it’s roots from the
precision sonics and reduced approach of Berlin minimalism but infused
with a warm, organic sound palette, resulting in a deep and atmospheric
track which is powerful yet understated.

Flipping over we have Understand, another hypnotic mood-setter which
utilises a repeating vocal, percussion fills and a killer sub bass to
create a track which places all the emphasis on the paired-back groove and
    subtle detail.

Rounding off the EP we have Suivre, a conga-heavy drum tool which mashes
up live jazz drumming with a driving kick and echoing vocal to great
effect. The sense of space makes this one a winner for changing things up
in the mix and sounds fearsome on a big system. Three lovingly crafted
tracks which bridge the gap between Berlin and Johannesburg, bringing a
fresh yet appealing sound to please dance floors worldwide.

    1. A1. Rose Petal Breaks
    2. A2. Noon Service
    3. B1. Hold Me Down
    4. B2. Sometimes I Feel Strong

New York’s P.Leone debuts on Rekids Special Projects with four vinyl-only techno cuts this February.

Debuting on Spencer Parker’s Work Them Records in 2016, P.Leone has since launched his own imprint entitled E-Missions alongside label partner Caiazzo. Moving to Berlin last year, the American producer has quickly earned himself a name within the German capital, making regular appearances at the likes of Tresor and ://about blank, and now joining respected Berlin-based label Rekids as part of their vinyl-only series.

Metallic echoes, robust kicks and breakbeat percussion lay the foundation for ‘Rose Petal Breaks’, before ‘Noon Service’ demonstrates crystalline synths and futuristic effects. On the flip, thudding drums and energetic claps form ‘Hold Me Down’ until the ominous ‘Sometimes I Feel Strong’ concludes the package with rattling components and a cacophony of intricacies.

    1. A1. You Stopped Dying
    2. A2. Daughter Of Babylon
    3. B1. Love
    4. B2. Love (Dub)

Pale Blue, the duo of Elizabeth Wight and Mike Simonetti, released their debut album too much critical acclaim back in 2015. They come together once again with their latest EP You Stopped Dying due to drop on Crosstown Rebels in February.

“The ‘You Stopped Dying’ EP takes influence from shoegaze groups like Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine and moves it to the dance floor…. The result is a strange hybrid that some have called “technogaze”.... This would never work if Liz wasn’t such a strong vocalist. Her amazing vocal range makes it easy.” Mike Simonetti

Pale Blue is a hypnotic affair, the driving bass sitting perfectly under Wight’s powerful yet ethereal vocals. Daughter of Babylon takes the record into heavier techno territory with its thudding bass and Wight’s breathy vocals delicately layered over the top. On the flip side Love is an unapologetically industrial number with screeching synths that echo around Wight’s vocals.

Simonetti and Wight have each earned their musical stripes in their own rights. Simonetti founded the hugely popular Italians Do It Better as well as his own successful record label, 2MR. He’s released a slew of records on highly regarded imprints such as Me Me Me, Correspondant and Public Release, and enjoys a fruitful career as a touring DJ, which shows no sign of abating. Wight has previously lent her exhilarating vocals to the West Coast band, Silver Hands of which she was once one half.

    2. B1. Jey Kurmis, Nukov & Yelmet - Fien
    3. B2. Jey Kurmis - Vanstone

A firm favourite with the Hot Creation camp, Jey Kurmis returns to the label with his Jessycat EP. Following acclaimed releases Lil’ Nic French, Kari and Not Too Flabbeh on the imprint, we once again see the talented producer at the top of his game.

The EP stays true to Jey’s trademark sound as the producer delivers three tracks to take the dancefloor through to the small hours. The EP opens with Jessycat, a bubbling tribal affair that implores you to move. An array of vocals bleeds into the record taking you on a journey to outer space. Fien features co-producers Nukov & Yelmet and takes a darker turn with a rumbling bass and intense vocals that state “my head spinning like a merry go”. The outer space sounds continue into closing track Vanstone, unfolding with a swinging bass and distorted stabs.

Part of the industry from more than a decade, Jey Kurmis has previously released on labels such as; Moon Harbour, Leftroom and Kaluki. Taking his DJ skills to new levels he has played the world’s hottest parties- from Sonar to BPM, and The Warehouse Project to DC10. The Leed’s based music maker has also commanded residencies at Do Not Sleep and Paradise.

    1. A1. Quicksand
    2. B1. Hot Snakes
    3. B2. Texas is the Reason

Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It label opens up 2018 with another release from the highly regarded Ataxia, who serve up their third EP for the imprint.

The Detroit duo impressed with their previous outings on the label, The Supertouch EP back in July 2017 and The Acid EP in 2016. Since then they have also released on Leftroom and Nervous and continued their eight year residency at prominent Detroit venue TV Lounge. Their fresh take on Motor City techno often comes with flashes of acid and makes cyber punks Ted Krisko and Eric Ricker one of the most interesting pairs in the game.

Opening up the essential EP is ‘Quicksand’, an immediately arresting and busy electro track with real machine soul. The bassline bubbles and boils underneath crisp percussion and emotive keys bring a sense of tenderness. It’s a macho cut with robust drums and is sure to win over any crowd.

The fresh ‘Hot Snakes’ is a deep, menacing track with dark bass gurgling beneath the airy hi hats. Frazzled synths are dystopian and brain frying, and together the whole thing takes you into hypnotic territory with an intense sense of urgency that is impossible to ignore.

Last of all is the freakiest of the lot. The brilliant ‘Texas is the Reason’ has circling bass that is warped and intriguing and will own any club, while the drums drive on and trippy keys are skewed and twisted up top. It’s a truly intense record for late in the night that is sure to become a big tune.

This is an expressive and varied EP full of contemporary and innovative Detroit house and techno sounds and marks another step in the Ataxia story.

    1. A1. Solar
    2. B1. On The Low
    3. B2. Solar (Chris Count Remix)

For the third release on Kwench Records, Cassy collaborates with Stockholm’s Art Alfie. Between them they deliver two diverse tracks brought together with a touch of class and Cassy’s distinct vocal. For the remix, German DJ / Producer Chris Count rounds off the EP by delivering an acid tinged version of ‘Solar’.

Although quite different, Cassy enjoys both Art Alfie and Chris Count’s productions for similar reasons. “Their music is produced so stylishly. You can tell they have put a lot of time into really listening to music. They know how to build in a natural way. I love that we have ended up with three totally different tracks on this release.” - Cassy

Art Alfie enjoyed a successful 2017 as a solo artist. His first project of the year, the ‘Reveries Of’ LP, released on none other than Studio Barnhus. This was swiftly followed up by another solo effort on his Karlovak imprint he runs alongside Mr Tophat. Both releases garnered plenty of support from across the DJ spectrum.

“I have enjoyed playing Art Alfie’s music for a long time. His productions are a pleasure to play and listen to. He was one of the first people I sought after collaborating with when I first had the idea for the label”

Although on the circuit for some time with releases on the likes of Dopewax, Intec, and Universal Music, Chris Count is a more recent and exciting discovery for Cassy, she is a big supporter of his releases.

“Chris Count makes fucking great music! This incredible remix delivers every time I play it. No matter where I am in the world, people love it”

An essential 2 x 12" overview of some of the legendary Frankie Knuckles TRAX classics.

What else needs to be said? One of the godfathers of our scene, a true classic himself, Frankie behind the wheels or behind the boards was simply top shelf all the way down the line. A real original whose influence and touch can still be felt today. His releases on TRAX at the time were the hottest things ever and they still resonate on the dancefloor today with equal measure. Featured here are some of the best tracks fusing Frankie's love of Disco, Euro-pop, Italo and more produced in his initial mid to late 80's golden period. Cuts like 'Baby wants to ride', 'Bad boy' and more, featuring the unmistakable vocal talents of the equally legendary Jamie Principle. It's all here. The perfect starting point for those who have recently discovered the man and his body of work, or equally as stimulating for those who wish to have some classics in their collection. Each track is a classic, each one stands up today and effortlessly rocks the club. Remastered in conjunction with TRAX, repressed from the finest audio sources available. Often imitated, never replicated!

"When Alexander (Boddika) got in touch asking for some new fresh music I knew it was a really important step for me. Nonplus is a stable reference label in the Techno scene and it was a unique opportunity. I thought the open minded philosophy of the label would help me a lot and I could create more experimental works.

I decided to produce the tracks in almost one take… turned on the synths and looked for the perfect range and character of sounds and spent some weeks recording it, finishing with some edits before the final mixing.

The final results were more than expected. Harmonic Rain, the Ep main's track has a really special groove, with a main melody which is transposed and slightly altering it gives me a good feeling.

The Ep feels to me like a complete journey itself. With peak time tracks, and more experimental and "warm up" music. Loops but not loops.

In summary, I’m really happy with this release and with the beginning of this musical relationship with Boddika and the Nonplus team."

Swiss artist and veteran producer Ripperton contacted the ESP Institute out of the blue mid-2017 to share a gorgeous mix of self-produced material, a collection of pieces made without any agenda outside of representing the self, not geared toward the dancefloor or a specific environment but simply a bi-product of introspective exploration. We were floored, the mix was on constant repeat in our world for weeks, then was subsequently pulled apart into separate titles to form this beautiful double LP, Ripperton’s debut with the label. The title Sight Seeing speaks of someone stepping outside their current reality to look in the mirror, as if to ground themselves and keep sight of who they are in a world of extreme highs and lows. Inspired greatly by expansive landscapes and views from airplane windows (imagine your commute flying over the Alps every weekend), Ripperton describes this collection as postcards to himself, messages from his subconscious recorded on tape (both conceptually and literally), melancholy soundtracks to the Mondays that follow weekend journeys. While musical genres tend to cycle through bandwagon moments, the ESP Institute strives to operate independently of these, and while Sight Seeing is undoubtably an Ambient album, we’re simply proud to revel in the chance moment where an esteemed artist such as Ripperton spreads his wings in a beautifully unexpected mode of expression.

From the redwood forests of Big Sur and the industrial warehouses of downtown Los Angeles comes PFEIFFER, a label dedicated to quality and a diverse musical output. Pfeiffer follows in the footsteps of labels such as Svek and Kompakt, known for releasing a wide range of techno and house with a common thread of unique and unpredictable energy. Looking to bring this type of eclectic curation into the modern era, Pfeiffer draws inspiration from the raw simplicity and effortless magnetism of its namesake location on the central coast of California.

February 9th marks the release of Pfeiffer’s first musical offering. A-side “Big Tent” sets the tone with raw, minimal percussion and acid tinged melodies. B-Side “Twist” brings a healthy dose of Chicago and Detroit influence to a track that feels colder than house, but warmer than techno. The first of many releases to come, PFE001 marks the tip of the iceberg for Pfeiffer, a label which will continue to reveal itself over time.

    3. B2 Universal Rhythm (Dub Mix)

R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos.
Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension” Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden).

Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long.

‘Universal Rhythm’, their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

Monumental House anthem alert! Another classic jammer from 1992 lifted straight from the Strictly vaults. This one's HUGE. Phuture aka acid House pioneers Spanky and DJ Pierre (with a little help from Roy Davis JR) turn in a driving, acidic monster in true Wild Pitch style. Probably the only record that begins with a sinister voice saying 'This is cocaine speaking' before diving head-long into one of the best anti-drug House records ever. Absolutely brilliant. Bubbling 303 basslines and cavernous handclaps combine with a funked out, dubbed out synth line that just doesn't stop. Phuture will survive, and they weren't lying when they said that as this record (among too many others they had a hand in) still rock today. Yep, still fresh. Tried and tested, often imitated, never bettered. Phuture are the originals. Open up your eyes (and ears). This one's a tasty 2017 reissue and remaster, featuring all 4 mixes as per the original release way back when. Essential stuff here. You simply NEED this one.

This record needs no introduction! One of THE most classic House records ever made! The legendary pairing of Frankie Knuckles (RIP) and Jamie Principle delivering two devastatingly ahead of the curve anthems; "Baby Wants To Ride / Your Love", both still sounding as fresh, vital, original and contemporary as they did on their 1987 release.

Truly one of the dream pairings in modern dance music, the Knuckles / Principle team brought us many classic moments but the two tracks contained here are among the most recognizable and well loved tracks in the House music lexicon.
Often sampled, covered, edited and re-worked, but never, ever bettered here are two absolutely essential cuts, re-issued as they were released originally in the late 80's on Trax.

Re-released for 2015, re-mastered and re-pressed with all the original Trax label artwork present in conjunction with the official rights holders / owners. An essential addition to any dance music lovers crate! Don't snooze on this...

Driving, funky, stripped back and with that trademark KC drum programming 'Get On Up' kicks things off with an intoxicating mix of all the above and some loopy, dubbed out sax.. this one is pure heads down late night business! 'Insomnia Again' utilises some choice samples the eagle eared among you will no doubt spot, paired with epic piano stabs and a cavernous kick-drum, slamming! Flip the record over for 'Something Wrong', a solid grooving, gospel-esque monster that hits hard, classic! Finishing out the EP is the amazing 'Love Is Over', undoubtedly inspired by the Garage and Zanzibar with it's nod to some classic cult killer Disco jams that form the basis of the track, looping, raw and moving hard, one for the heads! Rarely do you get such a well rounded EP of different versatile flavours, exactly the reason why Kerri is rightfully a legend in dance music. Essential stuff indeed.

Timeless productions. It's hard to pick a favourite as they are all amazing, every possible mood is covered making this whole 4 track EP your new 'always in the bag' staple. Deep house legend Kerri Chandler's mighty "Atmosphere EP" dropped in 1993 and still packs a punch today! A killer, heavyweight 4 tracker of deep Zanzibar, Shelter channeling NJ House music that has always been a big one among the DJ's, heads and dancers. Opener "Climax 1" is an organ driven, stomping groove with piano stabs sprinkled throughout managing to sound tough and subtle at the same time while it's partner "Climax 2" is an uplifting, old school leaning cut with vocal loops, samples and that unmistakable KC swing! On side-B "Track 1" kicks things off with some super, rock hard drums and horn samples woven through those blissed out late night synth sounds, one to get lost in! "Track 2" rounds out the EP in fine style and sounds a bit like Kerri is jamming with Mr.Fingers as the ubiquitous Juno bassline rolls out over some jazzy piano, lush pads, strings and claps making the "Atmosphere EP" a truly essential record with every track oozing pure class.

This has always been a sought after 12" due to it's classic status and has often changed hands on-line for collectors prices. Now it is available again, re-mastered, re-pressed and re-released with permission and in conjunction with Shelter Records, New York City and featuring the original 1993 label artwork.

1970's "Osmium" was Parliament's debut album and possibly the first real indicator of where George Clinton and his notorious band of psychedelic funksters might be headed. The ground zero of P-Funk if you will. Existing since the late 50's as a doo-wop group it was the bands later offerings that sculpted their unique, mildly warped idea of what the FUNK should sound like. Initially they cut a couple of 45's for Detroit Soul label Invictus in 1970 (both of which appear on the LP) then embarked on recording more music for the project, their first full length offering on the label. The group also released the debut Funkadelic LP in the same year with both albums feature the same personnel. The conditions under which "Osmium" was realised have since passed off into mythical status with colourful anecdotes involving marathon LSD consuming sessions in isolation in their Toronto studio and a general air of hallucinatory, intense mental psychosis prevailing throughout. It's under this druggy haze that Parliament honed their own sound, a raucous, blown out, tripping stew of R&B, Blues, Soul and Funk replete with early P-Funk trappings.

"Osmium" is a fascinating ride; wild, rampaging heaviness of the most soulful kind. A glimpse into what was to come from one of the most enduring and colourful groups of the last 5 decades. Often a very difficult LP to track down it has always been sought after and extremely expensive to buy. Appealing to fans of Black music, Rock and psychedelia equally it's contents have shocked, entertained and grooved open minded music lovers since it's release over 40 years ago.

This is the first time the record has been reissued in over a decade, complete with original artwork. Remastered, reissued and fully licensed by Above Board distribution with the full permission and involvement of Invictus Records, Detroit.

It's already been 5 years since the last Zombie Zombie album 'Rituels d’un Nouveau Monde', after which the group explored other territories by signing 2 film scores, namely 'Loubia Hamra' by Narimane Mari and 'Irréprochable' by Sébastien Marnier, as well as creating the music accompanying a contemporary circus show called 'Slow Futur' created by Martin Palisse and Elsa Guérin. Wouldn't these beautiful parentheses make you want to return to the sources? After 10 years at Versatile Records, 2017 also marks the decade anniversary of the release of their first album 'A Land for Renegades' in 2007, at the time considered to be one of the 10 best albums of the year according to Rough Trade.

'Livity' - Zombie Zombie's latest opus seems to plunge us deep into science fiction, with a cover designed by the mythic cartoonist Philippe Druillet, who is also the founder of the cult Métal Hurlant comic series. The title of the album is somewhat misleading, as one could mistakenly think of a certain dub record made at
the famous Island Records Compass Point studio in the Bahamas. For the uninitiated 'Livity' or 'Life force' is actually a Rastafarian spiritual concept based on the idea that an energy exists within, and flows through, all people and all living things. The record was recorded last winter in Paris, in a very short time frame. 7 tracks played live in 7 days, by Etienne Jaumet (synthesizers / rhythm box / metallophone / sax), Cosmic Neman (drums / vocals / sound effects), and Dr. Schonberg (percussion / electronics / trumpet), recorded at the Red Bull Studios by Thibaut Javoy and Jerome Caron, 2 very competent engineers. To keep it in the family, the album was then mixed by another member of the Versatile stable, the mysterious and legendary DJ/producer I:Cube, done in the label's Victor Studio.

On this album the principles that are dear to the group rest being respected, still as far away as always from the standards of 'radio play', A living kind of music, composed of long instrumental moments recorded with analog synthesizers and drum machines, accompanied by drums and percussion. But I:Cube's touch may bring the unique energy that one may find at Zombie Zombie's concerts; on certain cuts like title track 'Livity' that the group recorded in Laos, a wild combination of 808 kick drums and bewitching jungle sounds that sound quite unlike anything else out there, and especially on 'Hippocampe', which gives the impression of hearing an old school hip hop rhythm with the power of a metal band who have replaced their guitars with an army of synthesizers: we recommend you listen to this particular track in a convertible while speeding down the highway.

As with all of Zombie Zombie's music the cinematic component is still strong, on titles like 'Ils existent..' 'Acera' which was originally composed for ciné-concerts accompanying the films of Jean Painlevé et Maurice Pialat. The energy of the beginning is still very present, as is - of course - the kraut inspiration. But it's also an album that takes new directions and sonic risks, like on “Looose”, which brings to mind the Art Ensemble of Chicago, or the groove of James Chance in New York in the early 1980's, featuring the free sax solos of Etienne Jaumet and Dr. Schonberg on the trumpet. The group also offers some slower and calmer titles, like 'Heavy Meditation' as well as exploring more experimental tracks in the line of French 70's groups such as Lard Free or Richard Pinhas, for example on the bonus track 'Black Moon'.

Please - Take your time, and enjoy listening!

LOUIE VEGA RE-IGNITES THE DISCO CLASSIC “DANCE (DISCO HEAT)” BY SYLVESTER

Grammy awarding winning producer & 5 time Grammy nominated Louie Vega continues to send dance floors into a peak hour frenzy with his remixes of disco classics on Nervous Records.  The inspiration to delve into masters from this era began when he started remixing masters from the SAM Records catalogue, which is owned by Nervous Records, and with whom Louie has a long history going back to Nervous' early 90’s origins. Louie is that unique producer who has had success in multiple genres of music including House, R&B, & Freestyle and he has brought that talent to help re-ignite New York disco classics like Vicky D’s "This Beat Is Mine" and Convertion’s "Let’s Do It" featuring Leroy Burgess, as well as charting topping disco hits from John Davis & The Monster Orchestra "Bourgie Bourgie" & "Up Jumped The Devil".

This time, Louie put his focus on a track outside of the SAM Records catalogue, and one that was an international disco hit that also crossed over to becoming a 1978 pop hit, namely Sylvester / Dance (Disco Heat). Using elements from the 1978 version and combining them with his own original musical and percussion contributions, along with new vocal performances from renowned singer Cindy Mizelle, Louie has refashioned and reignited this 39 year-old production into a 2018 club anthem.

This past year has seen Louie continue to fortify his position as one of the industry’s most prolific producers. Remixes from his Grammy – nominated best dance album "Louie Vega Starring...XXVIII” have consistently sold out on its vinyl release and hit number 1 on charts on multiple digital platforms. 2018 will see collaborations with Kenny Dope under their legendary and world-renowned Masters At Work and Kenlou monikers, as well as co-productions with The Martinez Brothers and Joseph Capriati.

Louie along with Anané Vega recently created one of the summer's premier club destination at their Ibiza summer residency The Ritual with Anané & Louie Vega at Heart. He continues to cross the globe from Europe to South Africa to Asia and back as one of the world’s most sought after DJ’s, and incredibly is able to maintain a weekly radio show on WBLS for the last 8 years and his NYC residency at Cielo under The Roots NYC moniker for over 13 years.

The word 'classic' gets thrown around a lot these days, often abused and attached to things that don't deserve the tag.

I think we can all agree that an outfit like Earth, Wind & Fire are truly deserving of such an accolade, since their first tentative steps in the early 1970's as an outfit the Chicago, IL pioneers have made themselves a force to be reckoned with and have sold over 90,000,000 units worldwide! Fusing together Jazz, Funk, Soul, African and Brazilian sounds EWF have been at the top of their game for decades, seeing them inducted into the legendary 'rock n roll hall of fame' at the turn of the millennium. Respect due. On this special, legit 12" reissue we are treated to 2 stellar reworkings by one of Disco and modern dance music's most respected names - Danny Krivit. Danny's tenure in dance music has almost been as long as EWF's themselves so it makes sense that he's on deck to breathe some dancefloor magic into their cult classics 'Brazilian Rhyme' and 'Runnin'. Both tracks are massive club anthems with them being generously sampled over the years and featuring in the playlists of too numerous to mention DJ's and selectors. Both of these amazing edits are extremely sought after and have been legally reissued by Above Board Distribution in conjunction with Danny Krivit and the legal rights holders - Sony Music Entertainment. This high quality repress features original Columbia white label Disco promo artwork and has been remastered from Sony's original sources by Optimum Mastering, Bristol UK.

From the vaults! 1992 KMS records pressure straight from Detroit, still capable of causing much damage on dance-floors in 2016! This 4 track monster pulls together a pretty heavy cast of Detroit Techno and deep House royalty in the shape of Chez Damier, MK and Derrick May all contributing various mixes and versions across the EP. If deep, driving, soul drenched House is your bag you will be in heaven with "Can you feel it", a truly classic slice of sophisticated dance music indeed. All of the mixes are killers, but it's the "MK Dub" mix, also known as the "New York Dub" that really steals the show, here MK and May combine to craft a classy, slamming, emotive string driven jam that pushes all the right buttons. As usual, essential retrospective action here from one of the most legendary dance labels out of Detroit. All tracks remastered and fully licensed with the sole permission of Mr. Kevin Saunderson. 100% legit and not ready to quit!
