    1. A1. Beast From The Middle East

Get ready for some electro elegance — Maceo Plex and Lone Romantic presents a new series of releases simply called “Regenerator” – a title that imbues the values of what the two artists and curators will do; search and restore the glories of electro records that have been unheard for far too long. The inaugural release of the label begins with a strong three-tracker from DJ Emile, entitled “Beast From The Middle East”. Originally released in 1997 on the now-defunct Arizona-based Swell Records imprint, this hefty A-side challenges perceptions of electro with its cinematic opening section and cathartic breakdown, supplanted by its rugged and rambunctious rhythmic tendencies.

The second track, known as “The Bomb Shelter Speech” is an effective ode to the passionate, personal relationship that fans of freestyle, hip-hop and turntablism have come to carry with them in and out of the rave; the familial yet familiar bond that people share surrounded by supporters of the beats that lift them up — all with the wise words of Emile himself heralding the precious moment. Finally, the release closes out with a methodically paced and moody remix of “Beast From The Middle East” courtesy of legends DJ Z-Trip and Tom Chasten (known previously for their collaborative moniker Space Invaders). Electro is alive and well — with no signs of stopping its fervent growth; and with Regenerate, it’s only poised to become more prevalent to the dance in the times to come.

I’m excited that Death on the Balcony are back on All Day I Dream.
Purveyors of smooth house music, our friends drum up an EP of emotive, charming music.

Each track slowly unfurls allowing it to tell its own story. If you’re like me and tend to skip through promo tracks to save time and basically get the bullet points, you will probably not feel them. If you let them wash over you, you might just fall in love ...

The Croatian duo PEZNT pay homage to arguably the best meal of the day, “Breakfast”.

With vocals from Born I Music, Claude started playing it this Spring and the song quickly started to get the ‘Birds on the hunt trying to find out what it is, hitting a fever pitch when he played it at the Oakland BBQ.

As the original is already becoming a favorite, we enlisted Miami’s ghetto house expert, Jesse Perez, to give it a flip and put his high energy beats and bass behind it.

    4. B2. Ambiturner

Fresh from releases on his own Polymath Records, as well as Natura Sonoris and Sodai, that have seen support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Bicep, and ANNA; UK producer Third Son debuts on Dusky’s 17 Steps imprint with the ‘Machine Love’ EP.

The synth laden 4 tracker utilises electro, acid, techno and breakbeat influences to provide a rugged and bold reflection of the current clubbing landscape; one that is set to melt underground dance-floors this autumn.

’Machine Love’s squelchy synths and gritty percussion build towards a chopped and skewed finale, that has proved a ferocious piece of club artillery in Dusky’s sets this summer.

Next up is ‘Bloodsport’, a dance floor primed roller that consists of dusty breaks, squealing atmospherics and a meandering baseline. ‘I Hear Laurel’ follows, a cosmic alliance of ghostly vocals and hard hitting distorted synths that feels like meditative ode to rave music of the past. Closing the EP is ‘Ambiturner’, stacked with syncopated drums and twisting synths that scatter across the stereo stacks.

Next up on High Praise, we’re pleased to welcome two long time friends of the label for their first collaborative venture. Introducing Rude & Mean (also know as James Rudie and EVM128). As key members of the infamous CoOp collective, they have been flying the flag for the UK’s broken beat revival, turning heads with their intensely soulful productions. Supporters include the likes of Gilles Peterson, Bradley Zero and many more.

‘Moments In Soul’ and ‘Just flow’ are two exuberant masterclasses in how to create a joyful edit. Their broken beat background shines through in the meticulous drum programming, giving the performance a natural, live feel and setting it apart from others in their class. Syncopated rhythms, celebratory chords and relentlessly energetic basslines feature throughout - creating a groove so powerful you can’t help but be spirited away to the dance floor.

With this release High Praise continue to build their status as a label to keep an eye on, with their party series and clothing line steadily growing in popularity.

As the darkest month of the year draws upon the northern hemisphere, bbbbbb records introduces another Icelandic artist; the elusive electro producer Kuldaboli. With roots in hardcore-punk, metal-core and heavy-metal, Kuldaboli’s electro bangers are as dark and grimy as they come. “Ancient civilisations, 20th century history, the possibility of the existence of other dimensions along with the unbearable emptiness of human existence” are amongst the most prominent subjects of Kuldaboli’s creations.
‘Ég elska þig eilífa stríð’ consists of five hypnotic tracks, some of which are overlaid with cryptic texts; ominous poetry recited in Icelandic. Icelandic is a dying language in many ways, only spoken by around 350.000 people and constantly giving in from outwards influences. Who knows, perhaps it will be wiped out all together in the near future. But then again, humanity might not persist for much longer either. Only time will tell.

When Claude was hunting for tracks to include in his ‘Live in Detroit’ album, he came across Chambray’s ‘Evenue’ , which ended up making the final mix in his recorded Movement set. When we reached out to him about it, the Berlin artist sent us 4 demos and we signed them all.

With an influence from the early stripped down jack sound of the Midwest, Chambray’s productions add a polished style and wide range of musical character, both of which are in full display on his “Where You At?” EP.

It’s not easy to create a ‘signature’ sound that both crosses boundaries and also appeals to them all, yet Chambray’s particular music feels effortless.

The next batch of all-time CLASSIC hip-hop anthems from the Nervous vaults, pressed onto high quality dinked 45's. Collectors and DJ's take note!

Remastered from the original source material and featuring the unedited 'dirty' version on the A-side, and the full instrumental on the B-side, these 45's are for the heads who know what time it really is!

The original LP version of the slamming underground jam 'I Gotcha Open' from 1994 sees Black Moon doing what they do best - spitting some serious heat over more Beatminerz grooves. It's all here, the filtered bassline that is a straight Beatminerz trademark, paired with some killer echo-laden drum programming and those sick horns! The perfect vehicle for the Buckshot Shorty to get loose with his inimitable style. This is that classic mid 90's flavour, classic from end to end. If that wasn't enough for you, you get blessed with Evil Dee & Mr Walt's instrumental on the flipside which will definitely get you open, fronting is optional but not advised! You have been warned.

Fully legit, licensed and reissued by Above Board distribution in conjunction with Nervous Records, NYC. 2018.

Remastered from the original source material and featuring the unedited 'dirty' version on the A-side, and the full instrumental on the B-side, these 45's are for the heads who know what time it really is!

We thought if we're going to reissue the OG 'I Gotcha Open' then we really needed to do the decent thing and reissue the LEGENDARY remix for all you 90's rap fiends too! That's correct, you all know the video, right? If you were glued to MTV, BET, The Box or any other similar platform in and around late 1993 then you know you definitely got open to this one. Yet again, Da Beatminerz come with that unbridled heat, flipping that (shhh...) sample to maximum effect, people are still sweating tape king Evil Dee 'the number 1 deejay' over this jam. You need this basically. Absolutely timeless sh*t right here, dirty version on the A, instrumental on the flip.

Rowee joins All Day I Dream this December with some smooth sultry grooves that encompass beautiful vocals as well as some deep, warm and romantic atmospheres.
The EP opens with two vocal tracks and then explores deeper terrain on 'Udara'.
‘Anima’ is a trip into outer space drawing you towards the glassy sounds that drop in after the break.
The digital EP rounds out with the meditative 'When Water Falls' which definitely shouldn't be played at the peak of the night unless you're in a yoga class.

    1. A Take Me to the Bridge
    2. B Jumpin' (Get Hot, Hit the Spot)

The very first in a series of remastered classics and rarities from the Unidisc vaults sees Vera's anthemic and highly sought after 'Take Me To The Bridge' kick things off.
Originally released in 1980 and featuring the vocal talents of Patricia Masi and the production sounds of Louis Toteda (Nightlife Unlimited) this soaring and sultry synth driven Disco jam has long been a favourite among DJ's and diggers searching for those more esoteric dance-floor grooves. Often sampled, edited and copied, the original truly cannot be beaten in any way. A total underground Disco classic!

Vera was one of many Canadian studio projects that released on Unidisc during the late 70's and early 80's when the label home to numerous stars of the scene and many hit records. The group cut 2 LP's and released a handful of singles and EP's during their lifespan but the magic of 'Take Me To The Bridge' is what brings us here. Backed with 'Jumpin' (Get Hot, Hit The Spot)' - another piece of slick, synth and vocoder driven early 80's Disco, this record is a long time want for many and original copies can be tricky to track down, often costing quite a bit of money on the used market. Avoid the sharks and purchase this official repress.

These are brand new reissues courtesy of the label and have been remastered and repressed using all of the original source material. Above Board distribution are proud to partner up with Unidisc to bring these classics back into the marketplace. Keep them peeled for more top quality represses incoming for 2019.

Originally released on White House Records. Remastered from digital masters by Robert Macciochi with full restored cover done by myself. This EP should need no introduction to Ravers as often cited as an Anthem (whatever that means to you, to me that just means classic and good and still worth hearing any day again and again).

"Baptised By Dub" was originally on World Beat Records with "Virtual Reality" on the flip side and later licensed to White House Records with other tracks and the totally different but equally awesome Re Baptised By Dub by DJ Halo. This Ravers favourite has never been reissued on vinyl in its original 4 track form. it did make it to a White House Classics series but only Baptised By Dub and not the greatest quality.

According to DJ Spatts the DAT's were misplaced in the 90's and only unearthed again in 2014 when I searched the Warehouse. All CD licensed versions on compilations are allegedly a vinyl rip supplied by White House. These official DIGITAL remasters were issued to TCM Records as digital only. This is your first chance to get your hands on what will definitely be the best vinyl reproduction of this music since it's original release in 1992.

Spanish producer ORBE debuts on Maceo Plex’s Ellum Black imprint with a demonstrative three-track set of dancefloor variety, entitled Excited. The EP functions with a distinct flavor for all three tunes, effective for dancefloor use at different times throughout the night — nudged between peaks and valleys with ease and elegance. After previously releasing material for the likes of Hivern Discs and Lone Romantic, this Spanish talent has found a way to elevate himself to a place in the techno community that lends himself to experiment with his productions and exude fantastic results.

Beginning with “Abnormal Silence”, the EP sets a tone by not being afraid to deviate from the standard “4×4” sound, while trickling in efficient uses of static, glitch and rumbling bass between hypnotic snare-centric rhythms. The title track, “Excited” follows that up with a loopy, lucid-dreaming techno roller that experiments with half-step, snare drops alongside evocative vocal cues. Finally, with the conclusive sounds of “Loving Brussels”, ORBE caps off this extravagant journey with regal chord progressions, bass that hits with heft, and a build-up that culminates to a wondrous end-point for a journey that was worth the ride that came with. Ellum Black is opening doors to different strands and avenues of techno, and with ORBE’s release — the path to dancefloor uniformity looks to be a reality sometime soon.

Santiago Niño is an accomplished eclectic & conceptual electronic musician originally from Bogota Columbia, but based in Buenos Aires, with a deep discography of releases across a range of genres. The Techgnosis EP follows his debut Hermetics track ‘Collider’ as which impressed on it’s release on R&S founder’s RV Trax imprint in early 2018. Created in a low point following the sale of his professional studio, with the humble means of a laptop, mixer and set of basic monitors the realisation of this music reaffirmed Santiago’s self belief that his talent extended beyond his need for gear.

This EP follows in the same footsteps as ‘Collider’; mesmeric, pulsing techno with a rich musicality. Equally important to Santiago is his love of the visual arts: "This project has a really important connection with the audiovisual work, which i want to keep up, because i love cinema, i love the audiovisual arts, the abstract, experimental and poetic side of it, and thats why i always want to give that cinematic feel to my music.
Hand picked by Renaat Vandepapeliere to step up from the RV Trax series to a full R&S EP this is just the start for the Hermetics project.

In the shadows of a soft-shell giant a group of seven astronauts. entered Space and Free Rotation. Guided by mr Holmes abstract improvisation took place in the purple heart; surrounded by fluffy sheep, and left us all in silence.

For the second release on their recently launched imprint, Circle Of Live is proud to present Live At Freerotation 2018. The follow-up to Loop For Today is comprised of select cuts from an improvised live performance on the main stage during this year's Freerotation festival. The artists took over the main stage with an unscripted, freeform live performance from open till close.

Offering a recorded first glimpse into the free-flowing experimental set-up currently touring top European venues, the EP is a collaborative soundscape with contributions from Dorisburg, Johanna Knutsson, Mathew Jonson, Sebastian Mullaert and Steevio. With no prior planning whatsoever aside from an agreed BPM, the recording presented on this unique release offers a snapshot into the imperfections and charm of truly improvised live performance - a refreshing notion in today’s overproduced musical climate. Conceptually, the EP can be understood as more of an open-ended argument in favour of spontaneity and collaboration
    than a collection of tracks.

Envisioned and created by Sebastian Mullaert, Circle Of Live represents an organic process which aims to detach itself from the habitual routines of dance music, to allow the weird and wonderful elements of collaborative performance to truly come to life. Utilising Sebastian’s unique live set-up which can accommodate any number of participants at once, artists drop in and out and collaborate as much or as little as they like.

COL002 captures the best of Circle Of Live at Freerotation, an odyssey of sound, with rich textures providing a grounding for playful melodic and percussive improvisations. Gently rolling kick and bass patterns drift in and out, carrying the listener along, whilst analogue call and responses showcase the pure synergy of
    the artistic interplay.

1970's "Osmium" was Parliament's debut album and possibly the first real indicator of where George Clinton and his notorious band of psychedelic funksters might be headed. The ground zero of P-Funk if you will. Existing since the late 50's as a doo-wop group it was the bands later offerings that sculpted their unique, mildly warped idea of what the FUNK should sound like. Initially they cut a couple of 45's for Detroit Soul label Invictus in 1970 (both of which appear on the LP) then embarked on recording more music for the project, their first full length offering on the label. The group also released the debut Funkadelic LP in the same year with both albums feature the same personnel. The conditions under which "Osmium" was realised have since passed off into mythical status with colourful anecdotes involving marathon LSD consuming sessions in isolation in their Toronto studio and a general air of hallucinatory, intense mental psychosis prevailing throughout. It's under this druggy haze that Parliament honed their own sound, a raucous, blown out, tripping stew of R&B, Blues, Soul and Funk replete with early P-Funk trappings.

"Osmium" is a fascinating ride; wild, rampaging heaviness of the most soulful kind. A glimpse into what was to come from one of the most enduring and colourful groups of the last 5 decades. Often a very difficult LP to track down it has always been sought after and extremely expensive to buy. Appealing to fans of Black music, Rock and psychedelia equally it's contents have shocked, entertained and grooved open minded music lovers since it's release over 40 years ago.

This is the first time the record has been reissued in over a decade, complete with original artwork. Remastered, reissued and fully licensed by Above Board distribution with the full permission and involvement of Invictus Records, Detroit.

It is well known that talent never guarantees any success in the music industry. This sentence summarizes the story of The 9th Creation, one of the best soul, funk, disco and boogie band to make it out of Stockton, CA.

Founded by J.D. and A.D Burrise in 1970, the 9th Creation went on for almost two decades and released 3 albums and half a dozen singles that regularly flirted with the US Charts, getting them featured on Soul Train in 1975 and allowing them to tour North America and Japan a few times over. 9th Creation regularly shared the bill with Irma Thomas, James Brown, The Whispers, The Sylvers, The Main Ingredient, Con Funk Shun and many others.

The music that J.D, A.D Burrise and their 10-12 band members created was a perfect combination of West Coast raw soul, disco and funk that resulted in a religious fan following across the globe.
To this day, The 9th Creation has been sampled by Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Artifacts, Quasimoto, 3rd Bass, Basement Jaxx and many others.

9th Creation was undoubtedly one of the greatest funk band of the Seventies.

Past Due Records is proud to officially reissue the 9th Creation’s essential full lengths and singles, carefully remastered and all in their original artworks. “Love Crime” is a unicorn. As rare as “Mellow Music”, this mini LP is the absolute holy grail for west Coast boogie funk lovers. It is the final release from the band 18 years after their inception. 4 tracks of absolute bliss and the final attempt for 9th Creation to finally make it in the mainstream. Originals of this 12” have sold for silly money for a while, get it while you can….

Lone delivers the final instalment of his stunning Ambivert Tools series.

Started in 2017 Ambivert Tools gave Lone the chance to step outside the confines of writing music for an album and get back to the basics of crafting tunes primarily for his intoxicating DJ sets.

Inspired in no small part by the rich seam of house that he’s been excavating with his fine Magicwire imprint Ambivert Tools parts one to three have been stacked with breezy, rugged house excursions full of his trademark atmospheric melody / harmony . Each track instantly recognisable as music that could have only come from Lone’s East London studio.

This final transmission again finds Lone in vintage form - ‘Pulsar’ takes inspiration from classic UK Techno and IDM from the likes of Stasis and B12. This one shares DNA with the rolling breaks of ‘Temples’ from Volume Three but goes deeper in search of that 6am dancefloor feeling.
‘Oedo 808’ as the title suggests gets busy with some tight 808 drum programming bringing an electro feel to the mix . The rude bassline and glistening electronics only work to to tighten it up further for the dancefloor.
‘Blue Moon Tree’ rounds things off in style staying true to the DJ tool theme of the series, a killer bassline, crisp drums, spiralling vocal sample and stabs are all this one needs to be a staple in the right DJ’s boxes for a long time to come.
