- AA1 Cosmic Girl (Dimitri From Paris Remix - Dubwize)
- AA2 Cosmic Girl (Dimitri From Paris Remix - Instrumental)
French Disco maestro Dimitri From Paris' Le Edits imprint is back to bring you only the finest, most beautifully executed and lovingly reworked classics from the four corners of the discotheque dance-floor. Following on from the previous highly sought after and collectible releases on the label, Dimitri is back once more and he's proving that the age old adage that 'quality over quantity' is what really counts! For this release, of course, he is back using only the finest materials available, sourced from multiple countries across the globe, as well as having access to the original master tapes, top shelf engineering and mastering.
London's very own Jazz-Funk superstars Jamiroquai land themselves under Dim's gaze this time around with 2 brand new and absolutely stellar reworkings of their top 10 1996 hit 'Cosmic Girl', bringing us a beautiful extended Disco mix backed with a sumptuous dub version. A truly incredible record in it's own right, Dimitri has excelled in pushing 'Cosmic Girl' into the stratosphere even further with these beautifully executed Disco versions. As always, unfettered access to the master tapes, and with a deep deep understanding and reverence for the source material, these mixes are something totally fresh and exciting. Perhaps not the most obvious choice for a remix or an edit, Jamiroquai made no qualms about their allegiance to the Funk, the Soul, the Disco and the Jazz in their lives, which in turn naturally fed into their musical output. Upon listening to the groups output one can certainly hear the spirits of the Mizzell Brothers, of Gil Scott-Heron, Chic, Donald Byrd and many others, all filtered via Jay Kay and his group's unique approach. This is something Dimitri understands very well and it shines through in these wondrous reworks. Yet another stunning benchmark in a career spanning almost 3 decades, these latest offerings from the DFP lab rightfully place Dimitri up there with the best of the best - we're sure you'd all agree that Le Edits still brings a little chic to the music effortlessly!
Simply put, only the finest Disco reworks are released on Le Edits. Special versions of classics and rarer than rare tracks, all lovingly re-touched and mixed from the reels and master tapes each time, fully sanctioned and created in conjunction with the artists, rights holders and Above Board Distribution. 100% official and essential. This is no 'under the counter' operation, Le Edit is here to bring back some quality and class to the re-edit game by doing things, once and for all, properly and respectfully. No re-press guaranteed. Utilising the highest end tip-on heavy duty sleeves, and outer protective sleeves, pressed onto 100% virgin vinyl. These new mixes have been legitimately commissioned and will not be available digitally. This product cost 4 times as much to produce than your average Disco edit 12’’ because Le Edits believe in quality first and foremost. You really haven't heard these tracks like this before! A truly collectible and desirable item indeed.

- A. The Vision featuring Andreya Triana - Heaven (Danny Krivit Edit)
- B. The Dangerfeel Newbies - What Am I Here For? (Original NDATL Vocal - Danny Krivit Edit)
Named King of the Edit since the 1980’s, pioneering Manhattan DJ Danny Krivit’s (aka Mr K) latest 12” delivery instils the title bestowed upon him some 30 years ago. An esteemed selector Danny’s prolific remixing and production capabilities have touched hundreds of records – with his signature flare shaping the New York City sound.
Opening the A-Side of the release, is Danny edit this summer’s seminal track The Vision’s ‘Heaven’, interweaving a gloriously groovy bassline with Andreya Triana’s vocal to produce an extended, DJ friendly mix that he sent crowds wild with at Dekmental Festival.
On the flip, Mr K delves a little deeper into the Defected catalogue, trying his hand at The DangerFeel Newbies’ ‘What Am I Here For (Original NDATL Vocal)’. Danny’s stripped back version extends the jazzy, percussive original, as velvety smooth vocals and elegant keys bring this expressive and sophisticated release to a close. A true master of the edit, music as good as this deserves to be heard on wax.

- B2. The Dress (Michal Turtle Remix)
Chambre Noire Records is a new label out of Montreal, managed by Peter Bunzinelli. It is the continuation of a mix series and a radio show on N10.AS, active since 2017. For its very first release, it features Puma & The Dolphin’s debut record, the Primitive EP, including a remix by Michal Turtle. P&TD is a Bulgarian producer based in Sofia.
The Primitive EP focuses on firedance grooves, exotic percussion along with a dub and post-punk approach.
A1 - Jungle Futura
The EP opens with this wild chugger. Layering jungle sounds with loose hand percussion, the mood is at the crossroads between Latin and oriental influences. As the track progresses, the rhythmic section is enriched by skippy snares and a variety of vocal samples, sweeps, and melodies, with undeniable firedance-inducing results.
A2 - Camel in Dub
Darker and more synthetic in some regards, this track is closely aligned to the post-punk paradigm with its bass guitar and Linn Drum groove, and dub techniques skillfully used by the producer to create a rather psychedelic mise en scène. After laying down the foundations of this plodding rhythm, satellite voices, rhythmic and melodic elements follow one another, taking the dancer on a real trip.
A3 - The Dress
With vocal samples and a bass guitar at the forefront interspersed with minimalist but highly efficient rhythmic elements, melodies and other bleeps & bloops engaged in ear-catching interplay, there is something loose, sensual and slightly hazy about this track.
B1 - Cobra Dance
Taking a similar yet slightly different approach to the post-punk sound of previous tracks, this tune features a catchy bassline and groovy percussion of a rather Latin persuasion, alternating between vocal samples, melodic elements, and rhythmic phrases. In a sense, this track is reminiscent of the spirit of Martin Hannett’s work with ESG, that is to say, groovy dance music that feels like the opposite of synthetic.
B2 - The Dress (Michal Turtle Remix)
Highly-esteemed British producer Michal Turtle’s remix of The Dress is a stunner. Stripping the track down to its primordial elements and treating sounds in dramatic and psychedelic fashion creates a very mystical and trippy feeling all over the remix which feels eminently balearic but with a unique twist. Light footed and dreamy on one hand, groovy as hell and impossible not to dance to on the other, this is probably what dancing on clouds feels like.

12 track vinyl compilation featuring the roots of modern dance music, on 180g heavyweight double LP. P&P was producer and Harlem hustler Peter Brown’s production company. He created some of the greatest moments in underground African American dance music, across a handful of labels in the 70s and 80s.
Due to his independent ethos his releases on imprints such as Heavenly Star, Sound Of New York, La Shawn, P&P and others would often disappear after a single low numbered pressing making them incredible hard to find on original pressing.
Tracks such as Mary Clarke’s ‘Take Me I’m Yours’, and the Fosters Jackson Group’s ‘Feel The Spirit’ have been championed by DJs such as Floating Points and Dimitri from Paris. Whilst the sheer rarity of some singles such as Clyde Alexander and Sanction’s ‘Got To Get Your Love’ and Louise Murray’s ‘Let’s Just Stay Away’ would set you back multiple hundreds of pounds to buy on original copies.

The album will include selections that represent the many musical movements on which the House Music genre has evolved right up to the current time. As quoted by Vega previously, "I call Anané a chameleon, because she transcends so many different sounds with her voice.” Special thanks to Natasha Kitty Kat for the track inspiration.

- B. Doctor (Nuition Remix)
Italian producer and Fine Human Records label head Dino Lenny lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this November, bringing his distinct and personal style to the label on the absorbing Doctor, also featuring a remix from Nuiton.
The haunting, emotive vocals of Dino impress throughout on Doctor, chugging groove moves alongside waves of dark electronics and panic-struck, devilish synth. A track crafted to capture the inner workings of Lenny’s mind, transforming them into a hypnotic piece. Nuiton remixes Doctor on the reverse, adding energy to the original with skipping hats and quirky arrangements, building tension that reaches an intense jazzy crescendo of percussion and brass to leave you in a headspin. On the digital release a dub version loses the voice but retains the mysticism.
With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of remixes and collaborations. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his productions retain a unique style that is all his own. A true lover of the 80s, when he needs that extra touch he will add his vocals to the music, always trying to deliver something original that will stand the test of time, often opting for imperfect unique experience over precise emotionless never-ending loops. Alongside this, he has remixed huge names like Missy Elliott and Timbaland and has collaborated with legends including Madonna, Wu-Tang Clan, Seth Troxler and Dixon. Lenny has been named as “a wizard of electronic music” by the Chemical Brothers, played live with Underworld, released music on the likes of Crosstown Rebels sister label Rebellion, Innervisions, Diynamic, Cocoon & Correspondant, and is currently signed to Ellum. Constantly evolving his sound, Dino is unpredictable & eclectic.

Dutch Techno master Orlando Voorn has opened up his archive for the second essential instalment of an ongoing artist focused series brought to you by new imprint Above Board Projects.
The compilation will be spread across 2 double 12" volumes and will feature tracks from many of Voorn's pseudonyms including; Fix, Baruka, The Ghetto Brothers, Mute & many more. We are proud to introduce the first of a 2-part archival collection entitled 'Diligence'. Each track featured on the compilation has been carefully selected and programmed in conjunction with Orlando Voorn and the Above Board Projects team. Voorn has an extremely long and storied career in making music and is severely underrated as a producer in our humble opinion. His DJ skills are, of course, legendary, with him winning the prestigious DMC mixing championships in 1986 in his native Holland and making a career as one of the country's leading Hip-Hop DJ's. As a producer he has long been linked to numerous legendary producers and releases, counting labels such as Fragile, Metroplex and more as homes for his output. His association and collaborations with Detroit have been the stuff of legend since day one and some of the music contained within these compilations celebrate that while showcasing some of the more overlooked tracks from the man's more than extensive catalogue. Part 2 opens with the minimalistic bladerunner Techno of Voorn & Juan Atkins' Infiniti classic 'Game One', a true modern classic, also featured is the rolling, paranoia inducing late night groove of 'Dream World' from one of Voorn's more obscure projects Complex, all showcasing a wide variety of styles and sounds. Flawless selections from the early 90's sitting alongside later productions only go to show how diverse and talented an artist Voorn is and how fresh and vital his music still is today. An essential collection for any serious techno lover.
All tracks fully licensed and remastered with the full permission of Orlando Voorn. Remastering and lacquers by Curvepusher.

British-Japanese Producer/DJ Maya Jane Coles has amassed an astonishing level of international success and uncompromising studio credentials maintaining a uniquely focused approach; writing, producing, engineering, arranging and mixing every element of her output mastering genres from techno and house through to hip-hop, dubstep, folk, pop and beyond.
Following on from Maya’s award winning 2015 eponymous debut LP as Nocturnal Sunshine and unlocking a true representation of her musical identity, today Maya announces the forthcoming album ‘Full Circle’ out November 1 st on her own imprint I/AM/ME.
The new album from Nocturnal Sunshine is another exciting glimpse into an artist internationally renowned for her unique and skillful creative vision. The drop of an unannounced single ‘Foundation’ at the end of 2018 sent out the first signal; something was building. The acclaimed ‘U&ME’ EP followed, the momentum of new music while Maya toured the world merely hinted at what was in store from the experienced studio producer.
Introduced here with debut single “Pull Up” Feat. Gangsta Boo & Young M.A., Maya Jane Coles’ assured, and bold production teems with confidence; continuing her line of grungy breakbeats and uncovering new depths in hip-hop and trap-esque realms.
Across ‘Full Circle’ LP, Maya seamlessly navigates through ranging tempos and moods, all instilled with a strong sense of freneticism all unified within an unmistakable Nocturnal Sunshine sonic sensibility.
Evident to the width of her talents with her own collaborations with Tricky, Nadine Shah, Kim Ann Foxman and Miss Kittin et al; Maya has previously lent her production skills to other acts; producing for others from Chelou to Little Boots as well as remixing the electronic undergrounds finest; Bonobo, Bookashade and Tiga; to leftfield acts like The XX, Massive Attack and Little Dragon through to pop’s most credible; Dua Lipa, Sia, Sam Smith, Florence & The Machine, and even the legendary Ella Fitzgerald alongside a massive underground dominating Nocturnal Sunshine bootleg remix of Lizzo’s “Tempo” ft. Missy Elliot.
More so, Maya’s breakthrough track “What They Say” track was slowed and looped to form the backing track for Nicki Minaj’s “Truffle Butter”. The track also featuring Lil Wayne and Drake would receive a Grammy, BET & Soult Train Nominations and ranked 66 for the best-selling tracks of 2015 by Billboard, with artists such as T.I., Tyga and Ludacris releasing cover versions. The track has now sold over a million copies around the world. Maya’s beat was then latter sampled again on “Swish Swish” Katy Perry’s collaboration with Nicki Minaj.
Previously released Nocturnal Sunshine singles ‘U&ME’ and ‘Foundation’ feature on the new album alongside new solo material ‘Tied Up’, ’To The Ground’; bumpin’ cuts, un-earthly vocals and gritty bass a-plenty. Maya invites a collective of close friends and peers to collaborate across the project; each artist is encapsulated in the fresh sound-wall that is upon first listen unquestionably Nocturnal Sunshine…reflective in class and focused in statement.
Opening with a cinematic and acutely pensive feel, ‘Wildfire’ features Berlin via Buenos Aires rave punk, Catnapp. A downtempo affair, the nature of Catnapp impacts with attitude over Jungle-esque breaks. Calling upon similar rave influences Queer Alt Queen, Peaches on ‘Possessed’ before the haunting and enigmatic vocals of singer-song writer Chelou takes hold on closing track ‘Something About Drama’
Elsewhere, the world of Nocturnal Sunshine unfolds in differing forms, introducing the wraithlike yet delicate vocals of Ry X on the experimental ‘Gravity’ and the soulful leaning chords of Thomas Knights on ‘Closed Eyes’. Unearthing hip-hop insights throughout, skit-style interludes ‘I’m Ready’ and ‘Lessons Of Life’ provide intelligently crafted periods of relief from the gripping intensity and breadth of the project that her huge fanbase continue to crave.
Whilst the presence of legendary Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo on ‘Ridin’ Solo’ and ‘Pull Up’ ft Young M.A. anchors the urban roots of Maya as a producer married with the dark depths of CHA$EY JONES engulf on ‘Dash’; a distinctively murky dubbed out grime cut.
As the story of Nocturnal Sunshine continues to unfold, her ‘Full Circle’ LP showcases the form and talent of an incredible producer on limitless musical adventure of self-identity.
- A1. Nought To Gain
- A2. The Righteous Mind
- B1. Idealog
- B2. The Death Of Pragmatism
Off the back of his killer album release, LOMA, Throwing Snow returns to Houndstooth for a fiery, politically charged EP; The Death of Pragmatism.
As tension continues to rise in the UK around the Brexit debate, Throwing Snow channels the aggression into a 4-track release - showcasing some of his most intense work to date. To be released on the 1st November, the day after Brexit is executed, the EP opens with a percussive-driven record ‘Nought To Gain’. The idea is built around Ross Tones (AKA Throwing Snow) looking into the dramatic system modifications at play that change landscapes as a whole and when ’the supposed benefits of that modification no longer apply as there is now a different structure in place - there is nought to gain and all to lose’.
The second track, ‘The Righteous Mind’, is named after Jonathan Haidt’s book subtitled ‘Why Good People are separated by Politics and Religion’. ‘His approach explains the current schisms and could act as a mediator for angry voices’, Ross says, giving a better understanding of the single as it allows for a moment of reflection before leading into ‘Ideolog’ - an ominous soundscape circling back to Throwing Snow’s half time DnB influences.
‘When staring into the abyss, a great orator speaks of utopias and rose-tinted cocoons. Ideologues are intrinsically reductionist, degrading the complexity of every single issue. Meshed interrelations are ignored, in favour of quasi-religious furore. Basically, it’s a shit idea to follow them’.
Rounding off with ‘The Death of Pragmatism’, a climatic syncopated record focused on glass-shattering beats and piercing synths, Ross cites the world of Gödel and unyielding ideologies which suffer from their complex consequences. ‘Assessing the foreseeable aftermath within a broader context is a map through the madness. Otherwise it’s the death of Pragmatism’.
The artwork features Phillippa Battye’s sculptures representing a concept. ‘The shape will look different depending on the observer’s position, which is isomorphic to viewing a debate or issue from different ideological standpoints. Different moral axioms result in different vistas. The sculpture is both block rectangles and warm circles.

Already a well-established presence on the outlandish fringes of experimental, alternative and dance music, celebrated Israeli duo Red Axes make a surprise left-turn onto Phantasy with a three-track 12”, ‘Sipoor’. Unsurprisingly, the results are as pleasingly out-there as the occasion requires.
Following on from last year’s self-released LP, ‘The Beach Goths’, ‘Sipoor’ immediately announces the Axes’ uncompromising return to the front and centre of the dancefloor with the raw, provocative ‘Bad Time Story’. Brazen, brash acid triggers this particular tale, as Red Axes briskly modulate their way through a ruff, tuff but never less than musical landscape of 303s and 808s.
‘Sipoor’ takes a more gradual approach to building offbeat rave tension, featuring an unknown male using his native tongue to request some kind of house, some kind of techno and some sort of release. His wish (and we hope, yours) is the Axes’ command, as the music goes deep before seamlessly unfolds around a throbbing bassline and a playful, familiar keyboard sample, beckoning feet to the dancefloor and perhaps tongues ever so slightly to cheeks.
Concluding the 12”, ‘Teroof’ takes each of Red Axes’ signature ingredients - deeply rhythmic EBM-inspired drums, spiralling electronics, unapologetically odd vocal distortions - and reconstructs them amid what sounds like the Monaco Grand Prix, as high-velocity motors speed past the soundscape, kicking up some serious dust.
Red Axes ‘Sipoor’ drops on Phantasy Sound in 22nd June 2018.

Following their hugely well-received, refreshingly outlandish debut EP for Phantasy, Israeli club outsiders Red Axes return to the label with another three-track delight of leftfield dance entitled ‘Sound Test’.
Debuting on Phantasy in 2018, ‘Sipoor’ by Red Axes was massive. The release received critical acclaim, not to mention heavy support within the club realm from DJs like Call Super, Jennifer Cardini, Ewan Pearson, Fort Romeau, Massimiliano Pagliara, Chloe, and many more.
Highly soughtafter by those who’ve heard Erol Alkan unleash it in recent months, ‘Sound Test’ kickstarts Phantasy Sound’s 2019 - a rolling tool for a dance floor sliding into another dimension, constructed around a dramatic, numeric countdown. A minimal, skeletal build builds (and builds!) throughout to one of the most out-there breakdowns in recent rave-blotted memory, as the Axes slowly but surely rebuild their house to even more outlandish new proportions. Ten, nine, eight, seven...
‘Shabak Shalom’ quickly snatches the record back from outer space and drags it deep into the basement, zoning in on the gritter, strobe-ready sound that defines the duo’s most club-ready work. All of the Axes’ weapons of choice are deployed as unusually as per usual; militant drums, battered electronics, fucked- frequencies, wiry post-punk guitar lines and lovingly drowned traditional instruments blend to create their own special, slightly-menacing interpretation of hi-NRG.
Finally, on the unapologetically sprawling and immediately effective closing number, ‘Kookoo Pa-pa’, Red Axes demonstrate their inherent talent, if proof were ever needed, of conjuring rolling, simmering tension in otherworldly shades. Those who enjoyed the cartoonish motor FX of ‘Teroof’ will be delighted to find themselves found into an even wackier race this time round, hitting on the origins of Chicago jack, acid meltdowns and screeching no-wave.

Back to 1996, Charles Webster's cult Remote label, one of a handful of Presence releases produced by Webster himself and a whole galaxy of deepness. This is what you currently hold in your hands right now, a 4 tracker that crosses various sonic terrains with ease that still works in the club. 'The Strength' is the title cut, here in 2 variations with the first version imbuing almost highlife-like qualities in it's melodies and construction. Minor chords, intricate drum programming and cabinet rattling basslines create a very special atmosphere, with the 2nd mix being a somewhat stripped back cousin of the first. Pure brilliance. The B-side contains 2 different mixes of 'Gettin Lifted', possibly the real showstopper here, another sleek late-night cruiser of a track that seems to be speeding towards an invisible horizon at 200mph.... this is it. The 2nd mix features some of the most spaced out house sounds ever committed to wax. Absolutely, a must have all around.
'The Strength' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of Charles Webster for 2019 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

Peggy Gou is proud to announce the launch of her own independent record label, Gudu Records. The label’s first release will be the Moment EP - a two-track 12” featuring the tracks ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Han Pan’.
'Moment’ sees Gou continue to explore the charismatic facets of her musical and personal identity, drawing on her Korean heritage and language and her love for house & disco’s Eighties heritage, with particular nods to the output of labels such as Prelude and West End Records in the decade’s nascent years.
Gou’s own singing voice, known to so many from last year’s ‘Once’ EP, returns here to confidently guide the rhythm on ‘Starry Night’. Mixing both Korean and English vocals over a tumbling cascade of percussion and piano house keys, the track builds to incorporate layers of instrumental samples and subtle acid lines. Romantic, anthemic and timeless in its feel, it reaffirms Gou’s skill as a songwriter with appeal that resonates beyond crowded dancefloors, not to mention language barriers.
'Han Pan' follows as an instantly rhythmic affair that draws energy from a memorable and delicately tuned pan-drum. Alongside some expert and understated arrangement, as well as another, contrasting vocal performance, ‘Han Pan’ transmits a different but equally powerful energy.
