Repopulate Mars producers Monoky & itsbilly pair up on South Of Saturn for an infectious release entitled ‘Basic Bitches’ this May.
Both artists have made names for themselves, whether as residents at the best Los Angeles clubs or touring around the world. Individually they’ve released on various high-quality labels, however much of their best music is a result of the two artists pairing up in the studio and they’ve so far made appearances on Saved, Relief and Nonstop, not to mention last year’s debut on Repopulate Mars with ‘Stay Filthy’ on the ‘Outer Limits’ various artist release.
They now land on Lee Foss’s South of Saturn imprint with a milestone release. Pronounced kicks are quickly joined by a heady bassline, catch vocals and a combination of weird and wonderful effects in ‘Basic Bitches’. Meanwhile, with its purring low-end, off-beat hats and stuttering synth stabs, ‘Overdosin’’ is a darker cut with mesmerising appeal
