SALES NOTES

Peter Croce takes the baton back from Blair French for Rocksteady Disco's 9th release entitled Agape. It's vision is similar to Standing Still Is An Illusion, with Peter's unique take on this AfroBrazilian deep house threetracker. The aside holds "Agape (Love Wins)", a deep and emotive house cut, with driving drums and lush strings that tease until they climax. Kicking off the bside is "Maracatu Detroit", an upbeat love letter to Peter's home city produced through a bouncy Brazilianfunk lens; a track that is sure to bring a smile to the dancers. "Bufe Bufe" closes the release, featuring Peter on live electric bass/guitar and afro stomp drum execution, brought to a peak with Yoruban talking drum + vox. Mr. PC roots the growing effervescent world beat sound with an explicitly Detroit and

Chicago voice
“Diggin the syncopated grooves of Bufe Bufe. Mixing the samples with original guitar and bass makes for a fresh and organic vibe” Aroop Roy (Kampana Classics, Sol Power) “This is super funky! Top notch.” LadyMonix (Dirt Tech Reck)“

Agape (Love Wins) is reminiscent of a patio party with just the right amount of heat and a Detroit river breeze. “Agape (Love Wins)”, welcomes you to the party and immediately voids your uncertainty of leaving the comfort of your home for this party; the dance floor is well attended, the vibe is steadily elevated. “Midwest Maracatu” invites full body movement, pastes a smile on your face, and has the power to draw the most reluctant party dwellers to the dance floor (let alone get a semiconfident dancer grooving atop a table). After the Maracatu workout, “Bufe Bufe” keeps your body captivated while calming your heart rate slightly with the potential of inducing a moving meditation. The blast of satisfaction of the

Agape (Love Wins) EP comes as no surprise after Croce’s brilliant single Revival released in early 2017 on Rocksteady Disco.” Gin Ebony (STEP 01)

“It’s great to be inspired, especially when it's through a friend” Blair French
