SALES NOTES

Episodes. We all have them. Whether we’re going through our own or being seduced in an episode; good, bad or indifferent episodes are the here and now. Episodes are life. Forthright DJ, Producer, Remixer Quentin Harris delivers to Shelter Records four slammin’ musically House heavy incidences entitled “Episodes EP”.

1) Episode 1 unequivocally sets the tone. The elastic bassline and snappy percussions throb over several layered subtle keys melodies that are intensely dramatic. The smooth, jazzy Rhodes pianos twinkle and sparkle over the peak of the production─Lovely. This will definitely be a powerful contender for those deep ‘n dark House music dance floors. Mmm, can’t wait for the next episode to start, can you?

2) Episode 2 – The fiery, spirited, fevered drums and chunky percussions over a pounding, solid 4/4 kick burly at best, with a hint of a Latin guitar builds with intensity, forceful and commanding. A sturdy chunk of trance-inducing key sounds swirling together to produce this “peak hour” stomper!

3) Episode 3 (A Life Unknown) – Clanking percussions, subterranean bass, crafty multi-layer keys dripping with emotion, Quentin set in front of this track’s main production a whimsical key solo that seems to chant a psalm. DJ’s take note; you have to play this ditty to the end to understand that life unknown. Profound.

4) Episode 4 (The Fake Out) - For all you deep jazzy House lovers, Episode 4 (The Fake Out) is THE grand finale of the EP! One of THE dopest, coolest, slickest jazz pianos over an insistent, percolating rhythm track (bass, keys, kick, hi-hats etc.) heard to date. This track is a straight 4/4 old skool House styled tune with modern House drums and percussion…can’t forget that HOT TA DEATH jazzy piano weaved all through it. Masterful. It’s a magnificent ending to a spirited and well-meaning EP. Mr. DeMille, we think Quentin is ready for his close up!
