Sticking with the Scandinavian theme FINA HQ has decided to deliver a Helsinki future beat to roll you through to the early summer.  Leaving the traditional Karelian melodies and Nordic folk music at home, Finnish maestro Roberto Rodriguez, also known as Manolo, drops a varied EP into the mix FINA 003.

No stranger to the beat, Roberto has featured on tastemaker labels from Compost and 2020Vision, Serenades, to Freerange and Delusions of Grandeur. Remixes and edits for the likes of Terry Lee Brown Junior, Yoko Ono, Tigerstripes, Jay Shepheard, the Timewriter, Crazy P and Vanessa Daou make the Finn an essential addition to our already flourishing family.

The three-track tackle kicks off with some low riding cosmic disco dance material in title cut ‘I got you’. Flip the slate and you find the achingly hypnotic vocal house number ‘I Keep Thinking of You’, guaranteed to get your head nodding like Churchill’s dog. Last but not least is ‘Fall Night’, a dance floor wood knocker with the focus remaining firmly on a stripped back NYC dub, complimented by an eye closing whispering vocal…We wouldn’t have it any other way.
