Sleazy McQueen, né Laurin Fedora, has been one of the U.S.’s foremost purveyors of classic disco, fuzzy house, and funky edits for over a decade, so it’s about time we bring him into the fold at LPH. Doing it in style and with a bang by delivering a package that includes two originals—the cosmic “Huit Etoiles” and the bumpin’ shuffler “Galway Jam”—plus two remixes of the titular track, one by Kenji Takimi, best known as the founder of Japan’s preeminent dance music label, CrueL, one by Gerd Janson, the head honcho at Running Back as well as Lauer’s better half in Tuff City Kids.
