A relatively new artist to most ears, but Tamir Malka has already enjoyed success releasing music under various other aliases, and on this release for Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks imprint, the Israeli producer offers up a trio of minimal house tracks.
‘How You Say?’ leads the EP; a rolling percussive cut with more bounce to the ounce than most, as a lone dark stab and tweaky tones provide the veg to the meaty rhythm. ‘The Sun’ is based upon a sumptuous swinging drum track, micro samples and playful keys, whilst ‘Needs’ rounds things off with a bleepy and industrious tone.
1. How You Say? 2. The Sun
3. Needs
