The Vinyl Factory are proud to present a super-limited edition vinyl soundtrack, film and exclusive signed poster from acclaimed but elusive New York-based duo The Golden Filter, released to accompany their enigmatic new short film, SYNDROMES.

The Golden Filter have been collaborating on this new project with Norwegian Grammy-winning director Kristoffer Borgli, in  which they have created a short film that is both achingly beautiful and tragic in equal measures. Never ones to stick to creative conformity,  The Golden Filter wrote the music first, allowing director Borgli to  construct a visual front to the lyrical and aural inspiration.

The result is a breathtakingly visual representation of the band’s haunting soundtrack. The film centers on a young girl with  mysterious talents, that find’s herself unwillingly entwined in an elite  underworld that only the ailing wealthy are ever aware of.

The soundtrack contains 6 new songs, the first new material from The Golden Filter since 2010's widely celebrated debut album, Voluspa, and marks the next chapter for the NYC duo.

"For anything creative, you should never be worried or wanting  to know what anyone else is thinking," says the band's singer, Penelope. "You're just creating; that feeling of growing up and naïveté is very inspiring."
