The Funk.... Much like waiting for a bus, sometimes you wait ages for one, and then three turn up at once. And that’s most certainly applicable here on this Edible release, with three funkateers, in the shape of Thumpasaurus, Justin Jay and Lord Leopard, laying down some serious funk chops all over ‘Space Barn’.
In its original form, ‘Space Barn’ started life as a Justin Jay remix of Thumpasaurus, a riotous live act and fellow Los Angeles based misfits. Justin’s ‘Burnin’ Remix’ is included here, with as much a nod to 90s house heroes as to the genre busting sounds of ‘Disco Not Disco’ acts like Was Not Was and Material.
Two further ‘Outerspace Dub’ versions of the Justin Jay remix are added here, re-beefed by Edible for a weightier experience with extra love handles around the middle (resplendent in both vox and instrumental versions), and Lord Leopard joins the party with his frenetic Re- Decoration with quite literally will take the top of your head off!
