DESCRIPTION

Having spent most of the summer roaming across the globe destroying everything in his path, the creature that goes by the name of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has returned – and he’s bigger and stronger than ever before…

The latest adventure took TEED across to the Congo in Africa as one of the personally invited producers to collaborate on Damon Albarn’s new LP project and to work with local musicians. In association with Oxfam and to be released on Warp this autumn, TEED is featured alongside XL’s Richard Russell and Gorillaz producer Dan The Automator amongst others. That’s just one part of what’s been an action-packed 2011 so far.

After signing to Polydor Records at the start of the year, Orlando Higginbottom (aka TEED) released his debut single for the label (‘Trouble’) in July, off the back a huge buzz from SXSW. With amazing support from Radio 1, a headline sell-out show at London’s Scala and an NME tip as one of the must see new artists at this year’s Glastonbury festival, the summer couldn’t have started much better.

Now halfway through, and with some amazing festival shows behind him, Orlando is currently adding the final tweaks to his much anticipated debut album, set for release in early 2012.

As a taster of what’s to come, we bring you ‘Garden’, the next single and a TEED classic in the making. Having originally featured on an early EP for his former label Greco-Roman, the song has taken on a life of its own, steadily building nearly 750,000 views on YouTube and becoming a sing-a-long live favourite. Combining a rich mix of trademark sub-bass, electro bounciness and washed-out synths, ‘Garden’ finds Orlando singing alongside the wonderful Luisa from Lulu & The Lampshades to create a lasting moment of real beauty. We hope you agree.

The single has been remixed by Boston's finest Soul Clap... who turn in a 'Like Its '97 Remix'.

With more many more live dates in the diary, including a headline show at London’s XOYO in November and a special collaboration at Bestival with Friendly Fires – who TEED recently remixed – make sure you get down to one of his all-glitter, all-dancing shows very soon.
