DESCRIPTION

The Wurst Music Co proudly presents its very first full-length release, the aptly titled The Wurst Music Ever. Boasting ten brand new songs from Wurst stalwarts and newcomers to the sausage party alike, the compilation is a bold step forward for the cult New York label. Released over 3 individually released 12" EPs, CD and digital, The Wurst Music Ever is that rare commodity in dance music, chock full of personality, and by no means mere dancefloor fodder.

Part II boasts Stockholm studs Name in Lights, Brooklyn live disco troupe Midnight Magic, and Wurst alum Great Weekend. Name in Lights’ “Ur Oskunni” features the trio’s now trademark sound of arpeggiating guitars, driving 303 lines, live percussion and a huuuuuuuuuuge breakdown, the song is a haunting mid-tempo builder that always melts the house down. Midnight Magic’s cover of Native Underground’s “Push 4 Love” sees the former Hercules & Love Affair members outdo themselves with an enthralling take on the sexy boogie number, with horns aplenty, squiggly synths galore, a ballsy bassline, and Tiffany Roth’s unmistakable diva vocals. “That’s The Thing (To Do)” channels Great Weekend’s hip hop roots for one helluva samplefueled

groove.
